This 2nd floor condo has all the amenities you need: Hi speed wifi, 65" TV, washer/dryer. See whales from your lanai in Feb-March. Ample parking. Across from a popular casual pub/restaurant. Go 200' across the street to the beach. Toast the sunset. Shopping, restaurants, groceries close by. This 647 sq.ft. 710 w/lanai, and is best for 2 people, but can allow 2 more in the 2 living room sofa/beds, a twin and a full. Air conditioning in living room. Blackout drapes! Large pool. Beach equipment. With clean modern lines, there is an ease and elegance in this airy condo on the corner with gentle soft breezes cooling naturally. All appliances you need: Ninja Coffee maker, Black and Decker blender/food processor, electric tea water heater, GE microwave, dishwasher, disposal, full range of pots and pans and salad spinner makes the kitchen work for you. Powerful reading lights at the head of each side of the master bedroom.There is a washer dryer for your convenience. The TV has Netflix, Amazon, Starz, and the Sports channels available, or spend your time outside on beautiful Maui beaches Kamaole 1, II, and III. Predominant colors are blues like the ocean, with beach wood grey floors. It is most comfortable with 2 people, but can - somewhat snugly - sleep four; the sofa sleepers in the living room are a full and a twin, and they cannot be closed with blankets or comforters on, must be remade each night. (sheets can remain while folding the sofa beds up) Air conditioning is in the living room, only, so there are ceiling fans in main room and bedroom. White drapes cover your windows, as needed. There is a privacy screen on the lanai shielding you from the parking lot, conveniently close to your unit. Powerful water pressure and a secure door locking system make this an easy place to stay for your vacation. This upper floor unit in a two-story building is yours for your vacation. It is at the top of about 13 steps. One bedroom one bath, this unit is best for 2 people. It is about 647 square feet, 710 with the lanai included. The lanai is wonderful for lounging, seeing the ocean, meals, or beach gear. OUTDOORS Pavilion on grounds which can be booked for special events. GRILLS available. A large POOL is for guests. Ample PARKING available, non-numbered parking spaces. Get your PARKING PASS from the Office by the Pool when you arrive, or when they open the next day at 9 AM if you arrive after hours. The office is closed between 12 and 1 pm every day for their lunch. You will be provided with contact for our local manager when you book. They are available for all of your issues which may arise, and are a good resource for fun on the Island. GECKOS AND ANTS There are Geckos (lizards) and ants in Hawaii, you are very likely to see some in your condo during your stay. DUST The staff are very thorough but there is a fine red dust which blows through Maui and especially in dry South Kihei, which gets onto most surfaces, with the Trade winds which come up every afternoon. It gets on the floors, and dark washcloths and rags are provided for your feet. This is building one of Kihei Kai Nani resort which has wonderfully mature tropical gardens and grounds. Built in 1970, It is close to one of the best casual pubs on the island, and many shops and restaurants are within short walking distance. Our favorites include Cafe Ole', The Monkey Pod, The Five Palms (closed for refurb: 2023) Hawaiian Moons Natural foods (for hot organic take-out!), Moose McGillicuddy's Pub, The Monkey Pod Restaurant, Ohana Bar and Grill for music night, the 808 Bistro. Bicycle, snorkel, paddleboard and trip planning are available locally. Maui Medical Group has a clinic next to the ABC store, in case you need extra help. There is a large Safeway a few miles away. Hit Costco or Whole Foods on your way from the airport, if you prefer, and load up before arriving in Kihei. Live music is also Azeka Plaza. The Whale Day parade is in February. You are steps from the Kihei Public Bus. It costs a dollar to ride to Lahaina, or the Queen Kamehameha Hub where you can catch another bus to the airport. Go on tours and trips all over the island by bus if you like, or rent a car for your convenience. Car rentals are also available in Kihei, if you choose to have a car for only part of your visit. Mopeds are available locally to rent. Uber and Lyft are very present and available on Maui. PARKING PASS Obtain a pass when you arrive if between 9-5, excluding 12-1pm for lunch, at the poolside office. If you arrive after hours, simply get it the next day. ON-ISLAND MANAGER You will be provided the contact information for our on-island Manager, who lives in Maui, whereas the owners of this property do not. WE are in another time zone. All issues you may need assistance with will be handled through the manager, NOT the office that gave you your parking pass. NONSMOKING This is a smoke free environment, inclusive of the whole resort except for distant designated bench. You may not smoke on the lanai. Smoke alarms are 14 year units which will be added to your damage costs if you disable or tamper. Smoking will terminate your stay at your cost.; you will need to seek other lodging immediately and can expect no refund. TAXES FOR HAWAII You will be charged the Transient Accommodation tax plus the General Excise Tax combined, for the nights booked. This is 14.45% of the booking rate. Maui charges a county tax of 3% for Transient Accommodation, as well. There is a user fee charged by Airbnb, an air conditioning fee, damage deposit amount, and the cleaning fee. These charges will be detailed in the quote you receive prior to finalizing your booking. EARLY/LATE check in/check out A late check out or early check in can potentially be arranged, if the bookings surrounding your inquiry allow this. You should know that there will be a charge for either late check out or early check in of 1/2 the nightly rate. HOUSE MANUAL All members in your party will be responsible for following the House Manual guidelines, which are based on Home Owners' Association rules. You will receive this if you book with us. It is a helpful guide about how best to enjoy your stay with us!
