It will be your kuleana (responsibility) to know the rules surrounding the Pre-Travel Testing Program and self-quarantine requirements and to abide by the rules imposed. PLEASE NOTE that a county may also require travelers five years and older to obtain a subsequent test after arrival into the state. Please review current government guidance often, as your travel plans could be affected. Please visit the official state of Hawaii website for information on the Pre-Travel Testing Program and to review any local travel restrictions and testing requirements in place specific to the islands throughout Hawaii. Additionally, please visit the official Maui County website for information on local travel restrictions and testing requirements for the island of Maui. For the current government guidance and to access the online travel and health questionnaire provided by the state of Hawaii, please visit Hawaii’s official tourism website. As of May 4, 2021, all trans-Pacific travelers to Maui County participating in the state of Hawaii’s Safe Travels Program (in order to bypass the state of Hawaii’s mandatory 10 day quarantine upon arrival) will be subject to an additional rapid Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) test upon arrival at the Kahului Airport. Travelers can pre-register for this test on the Maui Arrival Test Pre-registration website.
