Catch Hawaii's tropical rays from the wrap-around lanai of this 2nd floor corner unit or from the pool and lawn located below. Take in the view of the rugged Kona coast just beyond the common area and unwind to the tranquil sounds of the ocean surf. Built right on the Kailua coastline, Kona Makai condos are just minutes from downtown activities surrounding Kailua Bay. This ocean front complex features pool, spa, BBQ area, and tennis courts. Complex update: The Kona Makai Gym will be closed from 9/11/23 - 10/2/23 for waterproofing of the north wall. Complex has spalling repairs scheduled from 9/11/23 -10/9/23 and from 10/16/23 - 12/15/23. Spalling is damage to concrete caused by corrosion of the steel imbedded in the concrete and is done in order to maintain the structural integrity of the buildings. The contractor plans to use a small crew of 2-3 people and they will work from ladders, scaffolds or an extending boom lift depending on the location of the spalling. They are currently planning on starting the spalling repairs on September 11th and this will involve grinders and chipping hammers. The workers will chip and grind out damaged concrete to expose the corroded rebar. Unfortunately, this is noisy and dusty work. The workers will do their best to contain the dust and will clean their work areas at the end of each workday. After the initial removal of damaged concrete the repairs are less noisy.
