Our ohana is located within 10 minutes of the most fabulous beaches on the island, some say the planet. The space is private while still being close to the town of Waimea, and other Big Island excursion sites. We are on a ranch, please read the description below fully. For the adventure seeker who likes to play during the day and come back to unplug and relax, we have games and all the beach amenities. If you need to work or like to plug in, we have high speed Wifi and a television. Our living room TV is a smart TV with DVD and family friendly movies available. We also provide a washer and dryer on-site to meet your laundry needs, shampoo/conditioner & lotion in the bathroom as well as basic spices in the kitchen for your use. We are located on a ranch. Our neighbors infrequently work on their land to grow trees for the island. Sometimes during the day you can hear their agricultural equipment working the land. It is always during the daytime hours. Sometimes they do not work for very long periods of time. They are quite nice and we love that they tend to the land of the island. Hawaii and ranches means wildlife. You may see a chicken or a bug. This property has been in our family since 1969 and is deemed agricultural land and quite unique. If you are sensitive to ranch life, we recommend other hotel-like options right on the coast or somewhere in town. Unfortunately due to uneven land we are not wheelchair accessible though we are constantly updating and will let you know if that changes. Mahalo! There is a caretaker on site and property manager available. We want you to enjoy privacy throughout your stay. It is a neighborhood on a local farm land in Parker Ranch. It is quite exceptional and has views of the ocean and Mauna Kea. You will need a car, there is little public transportation on this side of the island We do honor your privacy and there is a caretaker on site to support you with any needs you may have.
