This newly remodeled, fresh and clean guesthouse is centrally located and has amazing ocean views. Situated in a local neighborhood, this spot is perfect for someone looking to get a more authentic Hawaii experience. The Guesthouse is a large, private studio that contains a full kitchen and bathroom, as well as a spacious covered lanai to take in the stunning Kona sunsets. The closest beach is just a 5 minute drive away. A perfect home base for exploring the island! The guesthouse is located above the carport of the main house, accessed by a flight of stairs. Upon entering the studio, you will notice the vaulted ceilings make the space light and bright. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and includes quartz countertops and a breakfast bar. A brand new queen sized bed with a pillow-top mattress completes the space. Out the french doors, you will find the large covered lanai where you can spend your mornings listening to bird songs. You can even see the ocean from your bed! Guests will have access to the entire studio which includes the private bathroom and lanai. Guests have a parking spot in front of the gate by the plumeria trees. As mentioned, the studio is above the carport of the main house, so the front yard is a shared space and you will probably see my husband and I coming and going. Like most houses here, we have our windows open at night for the breeze, and even if you go out to the street to smoke, the smoke comes straight in our house. Please consider another accommodation if you smoke cigarettes, or finish them before arriving back. Mahalo for understanding. Please note that the Guesthouse is in a family neighborhood so it's possible you may hear a variety of things during the day, such as a dog barking, babies crying, or the occasional neighbor's TV. Some neighbors do leave very early for work, so there can also be a little road noise when they leave. The unit does not have A/C. Hottest months here are Sept, Oct, Nov. We do have multiple fans, and usually there’s a nice breeze to keep it cool. Studio is professionally cleaned in between guests, but the geckos and birds are quick to leave their mark! So you may see some bird droppings on the lanai or gecko droppings on windowsills. Like everywhere in Hawaii, there are geckos in and around the property. There is a friendly dog on the property. We will keep him out of your way unless you are a dog lover and want to say hi. Studio is up a flight of stairs. As we do live on the property, you will probably see my husband and I coming and going.
