Welcome to The Palms at Punalu'u This newly renovated beachfront studio condo is ideal for a restful, relaxed, laid-back vacation. Located in the "country area" of Oahu, on the windward side of the Island, this area has a more rural, easygoing atmosphere than the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. You get to see the authentic charm of old Hawaii. It's a ground-floor unit, so there is no waiting for the elevator The space This is an older building with a 1970's vibe. It's located in a beautiful stretch of white sand beach, home to several turtles all year round. WE DON'T HAVE AC IN THE APARTMENT, but we provide multiple floor fans and two ceiling fans to help on the year's hottest days. PLEASE BE AWARE: THE BUILDING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, and you can expect construction workers to be there Monday-Friday, 8 am-4 pm, with weekends being construction free. We will inform you of any restrictions you may have during your stay as soon as we are told. DUE TO ONGOING CONSTRUCTION OUR RATES ARE GREATLY DISCOUNTED. PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR REFUNDS BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION NOISE. MAHALO! Additionally, we prepare a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, hand and dish soap, and body wash- Additional items will be your responsibility. We have one Queen size bed, and one pull out couch with a queen size mattress, and we ask our guests to use it for children or adults up to 140 lbs. Beyond the lanai, it takes only twenty-eight steps to reach the fantastic, secluded, never-crowded beach. The serene beach is reef-protected and ideal for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, or stand-up paddle boarding. Beach towels are provided. Intriguing sea turtles are spotted regularly. There is a swimming pool and a small fitness center in the complex where you can exercise with a view of the ocean. An outdoor shower is located on the grounds near the pool to rinse off the sand. Watch the fantastic sunrise from your private lanai while listening to the soothing, mesmerizing sounds of the waves. Take a short walk along Kamehameha Highway to enjoy a meal or shaved ice from the colorful local food trucks. A few miles to the north in Laie, there are various restaurants, shops, and food markets. The renovated full kitchen is stocked with the necessary equipment if you prefer to cook your meals. The unit is also equipped with a washer and dryer for your convenience. There is also a bbq area and picnic table on the complex grounds. The studio is located less than an hour from the airport and only a short drive to all the exciting activities the North Shore has to offer. The scenery along Kamehameha Highway is unforgettable, with stretches of the road canopied by lush flora, interspersed with the sight of beautiful beaches on the right. Look also to your left, you will be amazed at the sight of the Ko'olau verdant mountain range. With a queen bed and a queen sofa bed, this unit can accommodate 2-4 guests. There is no air conditioning, but there are two ceiling fans, one with remote control and the tropical ocean breeze. Guest access PARKING: starting Feb 15 - June 26 there will be no reserved parking due to construction occurring on 1/2 of the parking lot.
