Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, located just outside of Des Moines. Sitting on 6 acres of beautiful countryside, this “shouse” is the perfect place to enjoy rural Iowa while still having access to all of the amenities Des Moines has to offer. The space The shouse is situated near the interstate so traveling is a breeze. It is only 10 minutes from West Des Moines and 20 Minutes from downtown, making it easy to explore Des Moines and the surrounding areas. The shouse has two large bedrooms on the main floor along with a furnished loft which includes a sleeper sofa (queen), TV and office. The spacious garage features a variety of games including darts, basketball hoops, and foosball. The garage can be used year-round as it has an AC/heating unit. Large windows located throughout the shouse provide plenty of natural light and views of the countryside. The property itself has 2 acres of mowed grass and 4 acres of prairie grass, which is home to wildlife including rabbits, birds and deer. The perimeter of the property is kept mowed for a walking trail. In the summer, guests can help themselves to the abundance of asparagus and strawberries located in garden boxes in the backyard.
