Big Island Tropical Hideaway "Hale Honu Ohana"

Wake up to swaying palm trees, tropical fruits trees and the sweet scent of tropical flowers. Your private guest cottage (ohana) is located adjacent to carport making guest parking convenient. The ohana features a extremely comfy king size bed, a kitchenette, Wifi, TV, and an ensuite bathroom. Enjoy your private back garden and outdoor shower. A guest favorite! The space The ohana has a private entrance which is located at the rear of the carport, where guests are provided a convenient spot to park their vehicle during their stay. The hosts live in the main home on the property and are available, should guests have any questions or concerns during their stay. The ohana is set up much like a studio with open concept living, but features authentic Hawaiian ammenities, such as the relaxing outdoor shower and charming old Hawaii tropical decor. Guest access Guests are welcome to roam to the gardens and pick seasonal fruit. There is also a small fenced garden directly behind the ohana that is exclusive to our guests. This is also where the outdoor shower is located. The outdoor shower is a favorite of our friends & family! The upper back lanai is open from 9am - 9pm with comfy seating and hammocks for our guests to enjoy. A great place to relax at the end of a busy day of exploring! Nearby sights such as Pohoiki Black Sand Beach, Kehena Beach, Rainbow Falls, Kaumana Caves, Akaka Falls, Lave Tree State Park, Volanoes Nat'l Park, Hilo Farmer's Market, Makuu Sunday Market, Pahoa Town and The Red Road await. We are located just 1/3 mile from the epicenter of the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Come see some of the newest land on earth created by Madame Pele. There are plenty of unique shops, restraunts and local music venues within a short drive. Other things to note Our property is fully fenced and gated. We ask that our guests please close the front gate to keep the feral pigs and chickens out of the garden. While the pigs are very cute, they also very destructive to plants and trees. We also have two very friendly dogs. We are located in an eco-friendly community, so we do try to be as green as possible. No smoking, no vaping, no drugs!
