This spacious and serene space is in a large renovated 2nd floor apartment in a historic home, directly across the street from a spectacular stone cathedral, and a few steps from 600-acre Forest Park, with its myriad trails and attractions. Conveniently located on one major bus line and one block from another, this historic Springfield home is just two blocks from the "X", a landmark intersection known for its restaurant choices. Two large balconies, lots of kitchen space, plenty of privacy. The space Your room has a large closet and two large dressers, a queen sized bed, and hardwood floors. The kitchen has a large refrigerator and lots of cabinet space for storage for long term stays, a microwave, full stove, and all the basics for cooking. There are two full bathrooms to be shared among a maximum of 3 guests. The house has full balconies, both front and back, with the front balcony facing the spectacular cathedral pictured. (The inside is even more beautiful than the outside, with a huge pipe organ.). The best thing about this room, however, is the location. You are steps away from Forest Park, a park designed by Olmstead, who designed NY's Central Park, and contains many hills and walking trails, lakes and streams, (such as zoo, pool, baseball diamond, duck pond, farmers market in season, etc. And if that were not enough, you are less than 2 blocks from the "X", a unique intersection with a dozen restaurants, CVS, Walgreens, Cumberland Farms, Taco Bell, Dunkin, etc. And to offer even greater convenience, you are on the major Sumner Ave bus line and 1 block from the major Belmont Ave bus line. So convenience, comfort and space are what are offered here. Guest access You have full access to all the common areas, and are restricted only from entering the private rooms of other guests.
