To help ensure a comfortable and smooth visit, please review the following important details about your stay: 🏡 About the Studio This studio is attached to the main house where your hosts live but offers a tranquil, private experience. 👥 Booking Policies Number of Guests: Be sure to book for the correct number of guests. If only one guest is listed, we may reach out to confirm. Booking for Others: Please do not book on behalf of others. The reservation must be made by someone who will personally be staying in the studio or you can reach out to discuss any special circumstances. 🚿 Bathroom Use Shower Use: The bathroom floors are not waterproof. Please: * Keep the shower curtain liner tucked inside the lip of the shower pan. * If the bath mat becomes wet, drape over the outside chair to dry, or let us know and we’ll bring you a fresh one. * Wipe up any water on the floor using a towel. * Drape damp swimsuits and towels over patio chairs/table. Septic System: Only flush toilet paper—no wipes, hygiene products, or excessive paper. 🍴 Food & Dining Local Restaurants: * Hana Hou (main town restaurant) is open daily from 8am–8pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers consistently good food. * See Guidebook for other options. Groceries & Shopping: * Food shopping in town is limited and expensive. * We recommend stocking up in Kona or Hilo before arrival. * There are two grocery stores in Ocean View, and a couple of small convenience stores in our town. (See Guidebook for options.) 👶 Child Safety Children are welcome, but please note the studio is not childproof. * Cleaning supplies are stored under the sink and within reach. * Parents are responsible for supervision. 🐸 Wildlife & Noise Natural Sounds: * You may hear coqui frogs at night and birds singing in the early morning! Sound is reduced with sliding door closed if needed. Refrigerator: Like all refrigerators, ours cycles on and off and may hum softly at night. Use the white noise machine or provided ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Please do not unplug the refrigerator. 🐾 Service Animals * Service animals are most welcome! Please let us know in advance of check-in if you'll be bringing one, and what kind. * Animals should not be allowed on furniture or left unattended in the studio.
