Rustic Hilltop Cabin, Reed Point
Description
The cabin is located 10 minutes off Hwy 90 and 4 miles from Reed Point, conveniently situated between Billings and Bozeman. We’re about an hour from Red Lodge, Chico Hot Springs, and the north entrance to Yellowstone. Popular fishing and floating spots along the Yellowstone River are 10 minutes away. The towns of Columbus and Big Timber are each about 20–30 minutes away. Just 8 miles down the frontage road you’ll find the Greycliff Mill, a local favorite for coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The space Our classic log cabin is rustic, cozy, and perfect for getting away from the pace of everyday life. The downstairs bedroom is private and includes its own bathroom. The living area has two comfortable couches that can accommodate additional sleepers if needed. Upstairs, the loft features two twin beds and a daybed with a pull-out mattress, allowing up to four people to sleep comfortably. There is also a full bathroom upstairs. Because this is our personal retreat when we need to recharge, the cabin is thoughtfully stocked with the things we enjoy when we stay here. The cabin sits on five peaceful acres in a small subdivision with dirt roads. You’ll likely enjoy plenty of privacy, but if you do happen to see neighbors, they’re friendly and welcoming—and happy to help if needed. Wildlife is part of the experience here. Deer, wild turkeys, bunnies, birds, and other forest visitors often pass through the property. To help protect them and preserve the peaceful setting, hunting is absolutely not allowed on the land. This is a wonderful place to slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature. There is a fire pit outside for enjoying cool evenings. During the dry summer season, please do not use it due to wildfire risk. While the cabin is professionally cleaned before each stay, this is a true log cabin in the woods, and you may occasionally see a moth or small bug that has wandered in—just part of the authentic cabin experience. 🌲🏡 Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire cabin during their stay. The only areas not available for guest use are one small closet upstairs, where we store personal items, and the garage. Thank you for respecting these spaces. Other things to note The road to the cabin is a fairly steep gravel road. Most vehicles do fine, but cars with very low clearance may have difficulty. Vehicles with AWD or 4x4 tend to handle the road best. If you’re traveling with a trailer, there is ample parking space on the property. You may connect to electricity if needed, but there are no additional trailer hookups. Please remember that the outdoor fire pit may **not** be used during the dry summer months due to wildfire risk. Even small drifting embers can create a serious fire danger, and we appreciate your help in keeping the forest safe. If you enjoy a peaceful setting and the charm of a rustic mountain cabin, we think you’ll feel right at home here. 🌲🏡
