This 100-year-old rustic cottage abuts White Pond. There is no other home that sits, closer, yet high above the water, which gives the illusion that you are floating! It's quite exhilarating! The cottage is 100-years-old, and it abuts a body of water. Please keep in mind this is a home that was lived in for almost one century, and this is not a hotel. Open concept kitchen, dining and living room, with a loft bedroom above where the queen bed gives wide open views of the tranquil water flow of the lake. Wake up with excitement and a rush of feeling like you are floating! It was our favorite part of living in the cottage :-D Guest access Kitchen, living room, dining room, upper deck, bathroom. Other things to note This cottage is not handicapped accessible in any way. Agility a plus! There are many stairs to climb down to/up from the house, there are narrow winding stairs to get up to the loft bedroom, and there is a narrow staircase that goes down to the bathroom. The hot water is limited, so please conserve hot water to last the duration of your shower. Please note, the white residue on the base of the shower is not “soap scum”, it has been there since installation. It is some kind of epoxy glue, and as many times as we have tried to scrub it away, it is not removable. We welcome any and all suggestions on how to possibly remove it :)
