Our 1930s vintage porcelain enamel bathtub is a charming authentic nod to classic cottage design, offering a relaxing soak. 🛁 It features a handheld shower attachment, perfect for rinsing off or enjoying a more flexible shower experience. 🛶 Timeless Charm & Vintage Character — Original 1930s fireplace, brick walls, and hardwood floors (squeaks included!) bring a touch of nostalgia. The kitchen offers shaker-style cabinets and vintage cottage lighting. 🏕️ Our eclectic decor creates a cozy cottage/cabin feel with a vintage touch. The 11 uncovered kitchen windows frame breathtaking lake views—changing with the seasons, like a living masterpiece. No artwork 🖼️ needed—just gaze outside! ⚓️ The upper level features a bright & airy palette of blues and whites, while the lower level wraps you in cozy warm tones of brown & red leather—perfect for movie 🎥 night, curling up with a book 📖 or gathering for a board game 🎲. 🌲 Some of the best parts of the cottage are on the exterior. Outdoor Spaces You’ll Love — The balcony & patio offer expansive lake views, comfortable seating, a picnic table, gas grill & fire pit—ideal for morning devotionals, quiet reflection, prayer, worship, coffee with loved ones, or peaceful solitude to refresh your soul. 💛 Guests often tell us they feel “right at home”—welcomed, rested, and at peace. However, Eldora Veterinary Care offers excellent boarding services nearby if you need accommodations for your furry family. 🐾 Guest access Bedrooms: Three bedrooms (Cal King, Queen, Queen) Bathrooms: Two bathrooms (lower level is spa-like walk-in shower, upper level has a 1930’s bathtub with shower attachment) Kitchen: Fully-stocked kitchen, dining table plus seating at island Family Room: media room on lower level, reading books, board & card games Outdoors: entire backyard, balcony, patio, gas grill, firepit, hammock, trampoline. Other things to note •We do not personally offer kayak or canoe rental. Check with Hollander Outdoors in Steamboat Rock for rental of Boats, tubes & kayaks. •Please bring your slippers, so you can take your shoes off in the house & be comfy. The vintage hardwood floor is not suitable for bare or socked feet, due to potential for splinters. Plus, lake life can bring a lot of dirt/sand/animal feces in on our shoes, so we appreciate you removing your shoes upon entry. •Bring warm jammies, aka “happy pants”, sweatshirt or sweater for the lower level, as it’s quite a bit chillier than upstairs. • We have signs in bathroom & kitchen regarding caring for the septic system. Please only flush TP (no feminine products or wet wipes, even if their packaging states “flushable”.) You do not want a backed up septic while visiting. 😉 • We have a sign at kitchen sink regarding care for septic system (no food, grease, or coffee grounds down drain.) •No smoking 🚭 no vaping indoors. Please toss butts in outdoor fire-pit only. •Trash: Please discard bagged trash into dumpster (next to red shed, behind gate), and leave weight on lids so raccoons can’t access the dumpster. • Raccoons: Please don’t leave food, trash or open coolers outside. Raccoons 🦝 will come around at night, so please do not feed them, or any wildlife. •Please move chairs /cushions away from firepit while burning a fire 🔥 We provide split wood 🪵 for your bonfire. (It’s $22 for 3 small bundles in town.) Lighter, fire starters, roasting sticks are in cushion container on patio. •For local weather, check KWWL on TV, or KIFG 95.3 on the radio. We also have a battery operated weather radio that you can keep near, in case of severe storms.
