With 2+ acres and a private pond, Bougie Beach Bums offers unmatched privacy and room to play while conveniently within reach of Stone Harbor (10 min), Avalon, Wildwood, Cape May (15-20 min), and town amenities (5 min). Filled with natural light, dopamine colors, and whimsical touches, this artful, modest home is ideal for quiet relaxation, connecting with nature, and bonding with each other. Hens in our backyard, an alpaca farm across the street, plus a game room. Linens + beach tags included! SLEEPS 4-7 GUESTS | MAX 4 ADULTS We offer two spacious bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with a queen). With an additional elevated single bunk (24”x78”) and a pull-out sofa (42”x71”), we can sleep 4-7 guests, BUT we think you would be most comfortable as a mix of 4 adults OR 2 adults and 2 kids OR 4 adults and 2-3 kids. We have two full baths, unlike most two bedroom homes in this county which typically have 1.5 baths. Start your day with coffee at the small bistro set in front. Unroll your yoga mat in the pagoda. Read by the private pond. Relax and recharge, surrounded by nature. The house itself is an airy 1,232 sqft. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking. A west-facing deck is the perfect setting for catnaps or sunset dinners. Complete the day with stories around the fire pit. Wind down with AC indoors and board games or Smart TV. Game room with ping pong and Pac-Man coming May 2024! Ideal for nature-loving families, bird watchers, monarch butterfly followers, or anyone wanting to experience a hint of farm life, this welcoming, easy-breezy getaway is a different way to enjoy all that Jersey Shore has to offer. BEFORE YOU BOOK (1) All bed and bath linens are provided. We also supply beach tags, beach chairs, and beach towels. At check-out, you are not required to run the laundry. These services are not common throughout rentals in Cape May County. We offer them for your convenience, to make you feel welcome in our home. (2) This is a modest home, purposely designed for eco-conscious slow-living. We do not have a microwave or a dishwasher. Our single television is not huge. If these are the kinds of amenities you expect, this might not be the right airbnb for you. (3) We have 2+ acres, deep in nature. You may encounter wildlife such as cute bunnies, funny frogs, sweet moles, and beautiful herons. While rarely seen, creatures such as coyotes, mice, and harmless snakes also roam these farmlands. We are here to help you create the best memories possible, but we will take our cue from you. We interact with guests based on how much interaction guests want. Text us from 8am-8pm for assistance. Occasionally, we may need to stop by, check on and feed our hens, take out the trash (Wed) but we will always let you know first. Quiet, private, and pastoral Bike friendly with abundant parking (A) HENS — Outside, our hens live in their enclosed area, and they will be your "on-site hosts" while you're here. They are quiet and friendly, and you're welcome to visit and feed them. We are glad to share their fresh eggs with you! If they laid, we will leave you eggs in the fridge. (B) DOGS — We welcome potty trained dogs. Up to two dogs each under 50 lbs are allowed. Dogs are not permitted in our chicken area. We do recommend crating when you’re not around as we have a variety of live plants in the house which you wouldn’t want your dog to ingest. (C) KIDS — This house has not been child-proofed but it is relatively toddler-friendly (for example, our living room coffee table is round, our bed frames are fabric-covered). Also, there are no steps inside the home; only steps leading to the front and back doors. Please refer to our gallery to check each room and let us know if you have specific questions. (D) ALPACAS — Across the street is a peaceful alpaca farm run by our neighbors. To see the alpacas, an appointment must be made in advance. Contact us for more details. (E) LAND — 2+ Acres is a lot of land to enjoy! Bring your frisbees, baseball, soccer, football, disc golf, etc. with you. Delaware Bay is 10 minutes away by bike and the sunsets are spectacular so you might want to bring bikes too.
