Welcome to the most walkable town in Metro Boston, w/ movie theater, live performance venue, beer garden, galleries, shops, & 17 restaurants 1/2mi from our front door. Our 1910 mill town company house is a little oasis. This is a two-family house; two separate private residences side-by-side. My family occupies the other side. Between house & garage, the outside dining area and fire pit are for your private use. Beyond the garage, we invite you to share our backyard w/ pool and badminton. The space On the first floor, we have a small but functional kitchen with a 3-stage drinking water filter (PFAS/PFOS filter certified), one bathroom, a dining room, and a living room with a wood stove. There is a large TV with streaming services and a smaller TV with a firestick in the queen bedroom. There are 3 Amazon echo dots with Amazon Music app. On the second floor, there are 3 bedrooms upstairs (1 queen, 1 full, and a twin with a twin pull-out trundle) each has an air conditioner in the summer and electric baseboard heaters in the winter. The twin bedroom is set up with toys and stuffed animals. There is a video tour on YouTube with title: "Maynard Mill House Tour" Guest access The entire rental is independent from our side of the house with an entry from Main Street and another from the driveway. For your personal use outside, there is an area for dining, a solo stove for cooking fires (marshmallow fixings, etc.), and a hammock. There is also a propane grill for use as well. Beyond the garage, the backyard is a shared space with a small garden, a CHILD-SIZE pool 11'x7'x28" deep, and a badminton area. Other things to note We have quiet time hours in the evening from 11pm-6am , so please no loud noise in those hours. The Pool is an 11ft x 7ft x 28in Steel Frame Pool with a Filter Pump. (It is not heated, so only available June-September 15th) It’s wonderful for children and we do have floats. It does not have a baby gate around it so constant supervision of children is a must. Please DO NOT take stocked pantry items home with you (spices, oils, vinegar, teas, sugar etc). These staples are provided for your use during your stay. (Maynard Farmer’s Market Every Saturday starting June 29th- 1/12 mile from the house in the Mill & Main Parking lot) 33% of the American waste stream is compostable. We are passionate about composting - food is not garbage; keep it out of landfills! Please separate your food scraps into the compost bin on the kitchen counter. The Green bin that says “Black Earth Compost” is where it can be emptied.
