Tucked just outside historic Hawi, this peaceful upstairs ohana feels like a treehouse. Spend your days exploring quiet beaches and charming small towns, then return home to unwind around your private fire table beneath a sky full of stars. It's a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and experience a quieter side of Hawaiʻi. The space Bedroom Sink into a comfortable king bed with soft linens, extra blankets, blackout curtains, and everything you need for a restful night's sleep. Wake to birdsong and the gentle morning light filtering through the trees. Living Room The cozy living space includes a twin daybed, a smart TV, books, puzzles, games, a ukulele, and comfortable seating for quiet afternoons or relaxing evenings. Kitchen The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for simple meals at home, including: • Dining table for two • Coffee maker, grinder, and tea kettle • Hot plate, toaster oven, blender, rice cooker, microwave, cookware, and utensils • Plates, bowls, wine glasses, storage containers, and kitchen essentials • Basic pantry items including oil, salt, pepper, and sugar Outdoor Living One of our favorite spaces. The shared lanai includes: • Outdoor dining for four • Cozy fire table • Surrounded by tropical greenery and fresh mountain air It's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, linger over dinner, or spend the evening stargazing. Guest access You'll have the entire upstairs ohana to yourself, along with the shared lanai below. Whether you're sipping coffee at sunrise, gathering around the fire table, or simply listening to the birds, we hope you'll settle in and make yourself at home. Other things to note Our home sits along the Kohala Mountain Road. Most of the day you'll hear birds, breezes, and rustling trees, but during the morning and evening commute (about 30 minutes each), you'll notice some passing traffic. Like much of rural Hawaiʻi, you'll occasionally hear a motorcycle or large truck as well. To help everyone sleep comfortably, we've provided sound machines and complimentary earplugs in both sleeping areas. Most guests tell us the peaceful surroundings, cool climate, and beautiful views more than make up for those brief moments of road noise.
