Located in the family friendly Pinecrest Beach neighborhood, this gem is designed for quiet contemplation, meditation, reading and relaxation with pond views, cool glades, moss covered paths, many birds and the distant sounds of happy children & families. Just across the road is the sandy, association beach on Jenkins Pond. Close to Downtown Falmouth and all it offers. The space is light and airy with a clean, Asian aesthetic, including light woods, exposed beams and large living room windows facing the pond on three sides. The kitchen is well appointed and offers everything you need to prepare a simple breakfast or host a small dinner party, including a new electrics stove and microwave, pots, pans, utensils and dinnerware. Your host lives in Japan, which is tastefully reflected by many Japanese touches. He is a documentary filmmaker and the home features a comfortable reading/listening room with a library of Americana music from a PBS project and many books on Japanese gardens and art. The home features broadband WiFi, with Hulu and other internet entertainment options available should you desire. Guests have access to the entire home. Our co-host is a local and available to greet you, respond to any problems and offer suggestions on places to go, things to do and people to see.. The area is a quiet mix of year-around and summer residences. Just 15 minutes to downtown Falmouth shops and cafes, with access to Falmouth beaches and island ferries. There is abundant conservation land for hiking. Organic Coonamessett Farm (pick your own, lunch and dinner) is just minutes away. Just 90 minutes to downtown Boston, museums and Fenway Park. Convenient to roads leading to mid- and outer-Cape, but less crowded than those areas. Bus from Falmouth or Bourne Bridge to Boston, Logan Airport, and New York City.
