Relax at our secluded getaway. We recently remodeled our camp in the wood: Private gated entrance to 17 serene wooded acres with a 2 acre fishing pond & woods to explore. Feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere with the convenience of being close to town. The space If you want to get away from it all, surrounded by beautiful land, this unique property is for you. We pride ourselves on clean accommodations & getting back to the simplicity of nature while being able to spend quality time with your people. Though you are likely to see a variety of critters while staying in the woods, this is not a pet-friendly rental. You may however, encounter rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, opossum, wild hog, deer, snakes, bullfrogs, mice, hear the coyotes & owls, lots of bugs & flying insects including mosquitos, butterflies & lightning bugs. Please respect the wildlife & do not provoke. Guest access This is our smaller listing, lower priced with access to only 1 queen bedroom & 1 full bathroom. There is also a loft bed in the nook & a pull out bed in the living room. You will still have full access to kitchen, dining, laundry, living room, etc. You will not share the house with strangers; the other bedrooms & extra bathroom will be locked for nonuse. If you have more people & need more rooms, see our other listing which gives access to all the bedrooms & bathrooms. You will have access to the entire 17 acres to explore. Bicycles & golf-carts are welcome but no mudding allowed nor ATVs. Fishing is allowed in our 2 acre pond stocked with hungry bass, bream, & catfish! Only keep what you can eat that day. Using the honor system, release the rest for others to enjoy the experience. Avoid parking under trees due to falling branches. Covered parking is available. Other things to note Welcome to the Louisiana woods. Pack accordingly, depending on the season: you may need bug spray, sunscreen, rubber boots, fishing gear, umbrella / raincoats, life jackets, inflatables, extra towels for the water, etc.
