Hiking trails and lake swimming within walking distance. Very close to Lake Wyola. Amherst/UMass, Northampton, Quabbin, and Berkshire East all within 30-60 minutes. Perfect for small families (sleeps 3), couples, and outdoor enthusiasts. Includes full kitchen, washer/dryer, AC, RokuTV and fast WiFi internet. Sorry, no pets or smoking. The space Come and enjoy the peace and solitude of this woodland setting, wake up to birds singing, let your soul relax. Perhaps you'll spot ducks dabbling or a heron fishing in the small, shallow pond (be aware, the bridge is not open to guests at this time). Swimming and boating are available at nearby Lake Wyola (sorry our pond is too small to swim), or visit Fiske Pond, the local swimming hole, right around the corner. We are too rural for cell service, but you can enjoy our super fast fiber optic broadband and WiFi calling. Also be aware the closest gas station is 20 minutes (12 miles) away. Roku TV has FuboTV available with local channels, or you can sign into your favorite streaming account. Hiking choices abound including: Wendell State Forest, Fiske Pond Conservation Area, the Quabbin Reservoir, among many destinations. While we are too remote for restaurant delivery, dine in or take out is available at the many restaurants in Montague, Greenfield, Sunderland, UMass/Amherst and Northampton. The quintessential Wendell Country Store offers coffee, baked goods, ATM and basic supplies, while Diemand Farm offers frozen, pre-cooked meals, eggs and meat. Relax and take in your surroundings at this unique setting. Other things to note Warm up to the wood stove on those cold winter nights (Nov-Mar only).
