Description
Enjoy crisp mornings in this unique reclaimed silo. These silos are featured in the TV show Restoration Road. Originally saved from destruction in the Dakotas, these have been turned into unique homes situated at the base of the Greycliff for which the town was named. Enjoy watching the buffalo with their newborn calves roam the fields while relaxing in the hot tub or making memories in the beautiful Montana countryside! The space This silo is has two levels. The lower level is the living room, with a sofa bed and half bathroom. There is also a little underground “Fox Den” that children can enjoy. The upper level is a bedroom and kitchenette with a full bathroom. This is a completely restored, but rustic silo. And it does not have all the technological advantages that a modern homes with drywall, etc. may have. So while it is very clean, there are sometimes a few flies, etc., that may find a way to share the accommodations. The driveway to this silo is pretty steep. It's recommended that you have an AWD vehicle, especially if it's during a season that we might have snow. We do our best to keep the driveway plowed, but it still can be difficult to get up the hill without an AWD vehicle. It is totally possible to park at the bottom and walk up. If you have any questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to reach out. If the Northern Lights come out during your stay, you can enjoy them outside or while lying in bed. Guest access You will have full access of the entire silo. The fire pit, back yard and hot tub are shared with the Eagle’s Nest silo. Many times it works out where you have it all to yourself, but it is a shared space. We are happy to help coordinate with the guest in the Eagle’s Nest, if need be. Other things to note Please note that if you are visiting Montana between the end of September and the beginning of May, our weather can be periodically somewhat less than ideal… The cabin is on a gravel road that will be plowed after large snow events, but during the winter all wheel drive will be needed sometimes. Also, the driveway up to this silo is steep, so it’s recommended to have a AWD vehicle, or you might need to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up, especially when there is snow. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out for more details.
