It’s a charming 1,550 sq ft, 2-BR furnished home in an historic 2-family Victorian in Melrose Highlands. With famous visitors (Houdini, Conan Doyle) & Victorian details, there’s a large LR, MBR (Serta queen hybrid), DR, 2nd BR (bunk bed!), bathroom (access via BRs), galley-style kitchen, & off-street parking. Near Commuter Rail, & Orange Line, Rts 93/95, & amenities, with quiet solitude for tourists, visitors, magicians, etc. (No smoking, vaping, or pets pls.) We look forward to hosting you! The space The house is a townhouse-style unit, which you have all to yourself during your stay. (The owners live next door in the completely separate, adjacent unit, and are happy to answer any questions and/or give shopping/dining suggestions.) Enjoy sweeping porch views of the “Great Lawn” at sunrise, backyard pergola seating (weather permitting), and grand views of our unique, historic property! Guest access You have an entire house to yourself! Other things to note Heathman Manor is very near Melrose Highlands Commuter Rail (.5 mi) and MBTA Orange Line at Oak Grove (3.3 mi). We recommend renting a car so you have the option of driving to Boston (12 mi), Salem (14 mi), Cambridge (8 mi), Walden Pond in Concord (19 mi), Gloucester (28 mi), and parts unknown(!) in New England. Uber and Lyft also pick up in front of the AirBnb. Melrose itself is 4.4 sq miles, so walking around town is doable, and downtown Melrose is only 1.6 mi away! The nearest grocery stores are Shaw’s and Stop and Shop (Melrose and Stoneham, both 1.6 mi), Whole Foods (1 mi), and Target (2 stores , 2.5 and 3.4 mi)! Please, no smoking, vaping, or using e-cigarettes on the premises (incl. tobacco, nicotine, herbal, and Cannabis products). Also, please do not move heavy furniture and/or the large floor-standing planters (eg, ferns and shade plants). They’re heavy! For privacy, there are light-dampening thermal curtains throughout, and a small LectroFan EVO non looping sleep-sound machine in each bedroom. That said, you’re centrally located, details abound at Heathman Manor, and your hosts are “warm and chill.” Enjoy your stay in our historic property and quintessential New England!
