The space Aloha to your Hawai'ian vacation at our home in West Molokai. The Island is the perfect getaway for slowing down and enjoying the beauty of old Hawai'i. From the peaceful sound of tropical birds and crashing waves in the morning to the ocean and sunset view, you will have the best time on the Island in our condo. West Molokai offers pristine white-sand beaches, coral reefs, trails, local markets, and much more. The condo is also fully equipped with all the amenities you need to feel at home, including a full kitchen (refrigerator, cooking' oven, stove, microwave, and coffee maker; there's no dishwasher) and WIFI The lanai has an amazing ocean view to enjoy the wonderful sunsets. You could watch the whales spouting and playing between December and late March while relaxing on the lanai. It is also ideal for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the breathtaking views. Smoking of any kind is prohibited inside the unit and on the lanai. Also, pets are not allowed at the Kepuhi Beach Resort. Mahalo. The Facility Kepuhi Beach Resort is about twelve miles of oceanfront property located at West Molokai. Pristine beaches, vegetation, and the deserted Sheraton Molokai Hotel surround the property. The facility includes: • An oceanfront swimming pool with panoramic ocean views • BBQ area with picnic tables and lawn • A small convenience shop with some groceries, snacks, and necessities • Coin-operated washing machine and drier (takes only Quarters) • Hiking trails and strolling passes • Amazing sunsets and aloha vibes :) Beaches and the Surrounding Area Untouched and quiet beaches surround the Kepuhi Beach Resort (i.e., Kepuhi Beach, Pohaku Mauliuli Beach, Pāpōhaku Beach, and more). They are perfect for swimming and snorkeling during the summer and ideal for surfing in the winter. Talk the path heading north from the pool for pleasant walks. West Molokai is the arid side of the Island, but it gets lush green after the rain. The vast, arid, serene landscape is also perfect for morning and evening strolls, running, hiking, and biking. Plenty of colorful tropical birds, turkeys, and white-spotted Axis deer hang around the property and the open lands. Between December and March, you could frequently see humpback whales. Getting to Molokai Traveling to Molokai requires a 25-minute flight on Mokulele Airlines, a local air carrier. You can book it directly through Mokulele Airlines or via Alaska Airlines. The short flights depart from Maui's Kahului Airport (OGG) or Maui's Kapalua Airport (JHM), or Oʻahu's Honolulu International Airport Commuter Terminal 3 (HNL). You will arrive at Molokai Airport (MKK), located about 7 miles by vehicle from the center of the Island. When you arrive in Molokai, the condo is about 20 miles west of the main grocery stores in Kaunakakai. So, we'd suggest you make a grocery run after picking up your rental car at the airport and heading to West Molokai. Car Rental and Parking Alamo is the only official car rental company on the Island, located right outside the airport. Mobetta has more economic options and Turo (an App) is another car rental option. There is plenty of free parking for one vehicle. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, right in front of the condo and across the resort. Grocery Stores and Restaurants The two main grocery stores are in Kaunakakai, the main town in the center of the Island. In addition, there is a small convenience shop in the near the Kepuhi Beach pool. Most café, restaurants, ice cream, and food trucks are in Kaunakakai at the center of the Island (about a 20-mile drive from the West side). Activities From Pāpōhaku Beach Park (one of Hawaiʻi's longest white sand beaches) to the sacred Hālawa Valley, you'll find unforgettable places and interests on Molokai. Hike down to Kalaupapa National Historical Park (currently closed until further notice!), enjoy a bicycle ride, go on a farm tour, or volunteer in various community-based organizations. You can also go and explore the magnificent sea cliffs, kayak along Molokai's most secluded areas, snorkel or scuba dive along Hawaiʻi's longest coral reef, or go on whale-watching tours (during winter only).
