GRAM'S HAUS

In the quaint town of McGregor is a unique spacious 1900 home that has been totally remodeled . This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is just minutes away from Pikes Peak State Park, Effigy Mounds, and the famous Eagles Landing Winery in Marquette. McGregor has many unique shops to explore. Also, you can take a walk to the Mighty Mississppi Riverfront. Lots to do on this town ! The space This home belonged to my Grandma Helen and Grandpa Hank...My gram & grandpa raised 8 children in this house. The house was always full of excitement and chaos. All of her children's friends would always be at their house. She welcome everyone in and fed them all. My gram was an excellent cook and baker. She was known for her famous long johns and home- made bread. and so many other recipes . She cooked for many years at the local school.. She knew every child and would give them extra helpings of food. That's where she got the name "Buttercup". Everyone called her that. My gram had the gift of gab ( I think I got that from her LOL) This house is very special to me as I remember so many childhood memories... playing with my sisters and brother, cousins and friends. We loved to play in the spacious hallway and we always would slide down the banister... We would refer to the neighborhood as “the hollow”.My friends would always want to come to grams for her homemade bread and long johns. We are so honored to have inherited the house and have totally remodeled it from top to bottom . My husband and I are totally honored to be able to keep this house in the family. My gram had a little German in her. That is why we named house as "haus". We hope you enjoy this house as much as we did. Main Level: Fully furnished kitchen with dinning room table and chairs.
