Description

Unwind in style after a day of exploring in this fresh and clean well-appointed ground floor apartment in a restored 1920s building. Living and dining areas, kitchen, plus separate bedroom w/ comfy king and queen beds w/ TV. Located in Mid-City, right on the Canal streetcar line, you're minutes from the French Quarter, the CBD, Bayou St. John, and City Park—with a peaceful space to relax afterward. Guests rave about the tranquility & convenience — steps from Swan River Yoga too! The space Welcome to a truly charming, well-equipped apartment with modern amenities on the ground floor of a beautifully restored historic building. (The building has 21 units—16 long-term tenants and 5 short-term rentals.) Located right on the Canal Streetcar line, the apartment makes it easy to explore New Orleans and get around the city without a car. This unit is located at the front of the building with windows facing Canal Street, offering great natural light. The blend of historic architecture with updated kitchens, bathrooms, and furnishings creates a bright, open, and inviting living space. The front room includes comfortable living and dining areas with a large TV and a record player that also functions as a radio and Bluetooth speaker—perfect for enjoying music during your stay. The separate, spacious bedroom features both a king bed and a queen bed with quality bedding, plus a large TV—ensuring comfort and a restful night’s sleep. Noise Note: Being right on world-famous Canal Street is part of the charm, but it does come with some city noise. In addition, this is an apartment building with both long-term tenants and other short-term guests, so you may hear the sounds of daily life around you. If you’re sensitive to noise, this may not be the best fit. Still, we provide earplugs and a white noise machine to help ensure a restful night’s sleep. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances (dishwasher included), cookware, and all the basics for meal prep. We also provide coffee, tea, sweeteners, creamers, salt and pepper, olive oil, and more to get you started. The bathroom is stocked with plenty of fresh towels and fragrance-free, cruelty-free toiletries by Ginger Lily Farms, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. For comfort year-round, there are two mini-split HVAC units—one in the living area and one in the bedroom. Super high-speed fiber optic internet is also included. If you need laundry facilities, the building has a shared laundry room operated through the PayRange app. Parking is not provided, but free street parking is usually available. Gayoso Street (the side street) typically has open spots. And there are two spots right in front of the building on Canal Street. Traveling with a larger group? We have four additional Airbnb listings in the building—two more on the ground floor and two upstairs—so you can book multiple units and stay together. Please note: This is a smoke-free building. Absolutely NO SMOKING OR VAPING. Violations are subject to a $250 fine. ***Mid-City was just named the #1 neighborhood in the US by Timeout, and #7 in the world! I am not able to share the links to the articles, but search for the article titles: "These are the coolest neighborhoods in the U.S. right now" and "The 40 coolest neighbourhoods in the world" and here is an excerpt: “The perfect day in Mid-City: Stroll around City Park and wake up with a cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde, then visit the impressive New Orleans Museum of Art and its Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Browse local art, jewelry and gifts at Home Malone before heading to Parkway Bakery & Tavern, a must for one of the best po’boys in the city. Afterwards, rent a kayak and paddle around Bayou St. John, or pick up some Italian sweets at Angelo Brocato. Grab a pre-dinner drink at Finn McCool’s or a glass of wine at Swirl, then check out Mandina’s for traditional Creole-Italian specialties and fried seafood platters. For something a more refined, try French spot Cafe Degas. Wrap up the night with some live music from the intimate stage at Chickie Wah Wah.” Guest access Guests will receive access codes to the front door and the apartment door and will have full access to the apartment and the hallway to get there. They will also have access to laundry room which is on the ground floor. Other things to note This apartment is on the ground floor in the front of the building. As this is an apartment building, there is a chance you may hear your neighbors. There are 21 units in the building. 16 are long term tenants, and five are short term rentals. We kindly ask everyone for their cooperation in maintaining a peaceful environment for all of our guests and to please be mindful of noise levels to ensure everyone's comfort. And we have found that the walls are thin! Also, being on world famous Canal Street is charming, but it can be noisy w/ the streetcar, etc.. For these reasons, we have provided ear plugs and a sound machine on the bedside table to help you sleep soundly. Registration Details 22-CSTR-23077, 24-OSTR-05669
