Bayou Oasis

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil Bayou Oasis. Tucked back in the trees along a small bayou that connects to the Tchefuncte River, that you'll almost forget that you're only minutes away from I-12, shopping, and many restaurants. Plenty of space to work in the bottom level of the two story primary suite. Then take some time to relax by the pool, take a kayak out to explore the bayou, or enjoy some fishing on the private dock! The space This home is a raised home. You will need to use the stairs to access the upper level. You will enter into the Living/dining area which have vaulted ceilings and a full wall of windows along the back for a very open feel. The kitchen is to the right. It is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and appliances. Fridge does not currently have water to it. This may change in the near future. There is filtered water at the sink. The laundry room pantry is just to the left past the kitchen. To the right you will enter the the kid play area. There is an arts/crafts table along with bins of toys. Primary suite (Bedroom 1) is to the left of the living area and entrance. You enter into the office area. The lower level has the office, bathroom and walk in closet. You will go up the stairs to access Primary bedroom. It has the King Size Bed and small sitting area. Bedroom two is right next to the play area. It has an upper bunk. Has a daybed with a mattress underneath for additional sleeping accommodations if needed. There is a dresser and a small closet. Bedroom three is just past that bedroom. It has a queen sized bed and an adorable playhouse with upper bunk. The ladder for the bunk is inside the playhouse. No closet access but there is a dresser. There is plenty of hanging space in other bedroom or primary closet. There is a half bathroom and a full sized bathroom next two bedrooms two and three. This home was built in the late 80's. Most everything has been updated but there are a few older things in the home still. The yard and location truly can't be beat. Reminder is there is a lower level apartment that has midterm renters. We (the owners) occasionally stay in the boathouse on the back of the property for a few days a month. Guest access You will have access to the main part of the home (entire upper level), along with the yard, pool, private dock, and kayaks. You will not have access to the lower level that contains the garages or the guest apartment. It is rented to a college student that helps maintain the yard. You also will not have access to the boathouse. (It is currently being renovated and will be available in the future. It does have a pool table and several games. If you are booking for a date further out feel free to inquire if it will be available). Other things to note Please reach out with any questions or concerns about length of stays.
