Located in the Kona Palisades neighborhood, our home is nearby to the Kona airport, a short drive to downtown Kona, and within convenient distance to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! This house is an ideal setup for families and friends that enjoy traveling together and staying under one roof! Our rental space includes 3 bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people comfortably (1 king bed, 1 queen, and 2 twins), a sofa bed in the living room, and 1 queen size airbed (available upon request). There are 2 full bathrooms (master and guest) that include towels, body/hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies for cooking and food preparation (pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, etc.), and offers ample space in the refrigerator and cabinet pantry for storing food during your stay. It also includes a microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee makers (drip and single-serve), blender, toaster oven, and other kitchen appliances to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The adjacent dining area is bright and airy and has been the setting for many delicious meals as well as some very lively conversations. But, if outdoor dining is more your style, the lanai is set up with a patio table & chairs (for up to 6 people) and features a stunning view of the Kona coast and spectacular sunsets! Our guests will have access to the entire upstairs portion of the home as well as the front and back yards. Jon is available to address any of your questions or concerns by text message or phone call. Otherwise, our co-host, Ivan, lives in the downstairs unit (separate from the main house with its own private entrance) with his two little dogs, Luna and Princess. If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, you can contact him and he will be more than happy to assist you to ensure that you have the best experience possible. He understands that many people prefer not to be disturbed during their vacation, so he will not contact you unless you need his assistance. With that said, if you happen to run into him on his way out or as he is returning home, feel free to extend a warm “Aloha!” greeting! The home is located in a quiet, family-friendly residential neighborhood within driving distance from downtown Kailua-Kona, shopping centers, golf courses, beaches, and various other big island attractions. The house is driving distance from the main town as well as numerous points of interest along the Kona coast. Guests are welcome to park in the home's carport or driveway. Free street parking is also available. Please inquire about renting our hybrid Honda CR-V during your stay! A photo is included in this listing. The home is set up with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, washer & dryer with laundry detergent, beach towels, and boogie boards available for use during your stay. It also includes smart TVs in the living room and master bedroom that can be used to connect to any of the streaming TV services that you are subscribed to (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc.). It also has a split AC unit for cooling down the living room area on warmer days. There are no AC units in the bedrooms. However, because the home is located at a higher altitude, the weather becomes cooler in the evenings which means there is less need for air-conditioning at night. Also, please be aware that on the nights of July 4th and December 31st people throughout the area celebrate these special occasions with fireworks that can last into the early morning hours.
