Consider Serenity Ohana your home base to explore South Hawaii Island. Newly built 400 sqft studio with queen bed and a pullout sofa has full bath, kitchen, coffee area, outdoor seating, washer/dryer access & outdoor shower. You'll have views of South Point, and be driving distance from Na’alehu, Volcanos National Park, and some unique Hawaiian beaches: pebble, black sand and green sand beach. Kona is 1.5 hours, Hilo is 1.75 hours. Ideal space for 2 people, + 1 small child upon request. The space Welcome to Serenity Ohana, your peaceful 400 sqft home base for exploring South Hawaii Island, far from the congestion of Kona. This newly built studio (September 2023) offers expansive, distant ocean views and a profound sense of stillness. LIVING AREA: *Comfortable La-z-boy leather sofa that converts to a full-size sleeper bed. *Cozy dining table for two with views of South Point. *Smart TV that can be positioned for viewing from the couch or bed. SLEEPING AREA: *Plush Nectar memory foam queen bed. *Closet for your belongings. *A crib/pack 'n play is available (stored in the closet). KITCHEN: *Fully equipped with custom cabinets and quartz counters. *Induction stovetop, microwave, and a small air-fryer oven. *Coffee nook with both a drip coffee maker and a French press. *BBQ gas grill is located outdoors, just steps from the door. This is a shared amenity, available for all guest use. BATHROOM & SHOWER: *Oversized bathroom with a full-size stand-up shower. *Modern bidet toilet. *Unique Hawaiian-style outdoor shower set in a garden of bamboo and lava rock. This studio comfortably accommodates two guests. We will consider one additional guest (for a total of 3) upon request, but please be mindful of the cozy 400 sqft space. Guest access Guests will have private and exclusive access to the entire separate Studio Ohana unit, which is located next to our main house. You are also welcome to use the private outdoor shower garden area. Key Features: *Private Entrance *Self Check-in *Dedicated parking for one vehicle on the concrete pad directly in front of the Ohana. Other things to note Renting a vehicle is a MUST. Public transportation does not work outside of Kona/Hilo...you will need to rent a car to enjoy Hawaii Island (it's BIG!) The parking area at the Ohana is gravel, so a small car/SUV is ideal for exploring and navigating the island. Note: You do not need to rent a Jeep to explore Hawaii Island. While it does make you look cool to drive, is it not a requirement like in Jurassic Park, as there are roads to 80% of the attractions you will drive to on-island. Owner Presence: Please be aware that the owners and other guests may be on the property in the main house during your stay. Beach Essentials: In the closet you will find a couple beach chairs, a beach umbrella, some snorkel gear and maybe even a boogie board. There also may be a random cooler tucked under the house nextdoor, which, if available can be used (please return it to the same location at the end of your stay). No Air Conditioning: In the traditional Hawaiian style, there is no AC built into the house. The temps at 3600' elevation range from 55-85 degrees Fahrenheit all year long... and there is normally a breeze. SO, if it's HOT: open the window. If it's COLD: grab an additional blanket. Water System: Much of Hawaii Island is on a catchment water supply (rainwater catchment system). It is highly filtered through a series of filters and a UV light system, making it clean and fully drinkable from the tap. All toilets are modern and have a bidet, we do ask that you DO NOT flush any toilet paper or personal products, please put all paper products in the small cans and empty those as needed to the large grey can outside. Connectivity: Fast Wi-Fi is available, making the space suitable for remote work, and a JBL bluetooth speaker is available to enjoy also. Laundry: A small laundry room with a washer and dryer is located outside on the back of the main house, just a few feet from the Ohana for your use. Security: For ours and your protection, exterior security cameras are located on the property monitoring the grounds. This unit is a vacation rental.
