Buckman's Guesthouse B&B - Bedroom 5

Enjoy the comfort and welcoming atmosphere of a home built to entertain family and guests. Bedroom 5 has a king bed, TV, dressing table, lazy-boy recliner and in suite bathroom. Price includes breakfast. There is an additional $10/night charge for more than two people. Discounts available for longer stays. This is one of 5 bedrooms available for you or your group. All rooms can be reserved as one listing under Buckman Guesthouse (5 bedrooms+). When you are here, you're family. The space Play ping pong or billiards in the game room. Play cards, work on a puzzle, or relax in the gathering room in front of the fire. The gathering room includes a kitchen with full sized fridge, stove & microwave, ice machine and Keurig coffee maker. Utensils dishes and paper products are provided. Extra tables and chairs available for group activities. Breakfast is served in the dining room or as a buffet in the gathering room for large groups. Grill on the patio and/or relax in the evening around the fire pit (both are LP gas). Play outdoor games (Frisbee golf, soccer, corn-hole bags, yard darts, ladder ball, croquet) in the back yard or fish in the pond. Relax on a porch rocker or on the pond deck and watch the sun go down. Host Paula lives in a separate part of the house with cats Sadie and Gracie. Guest access Bedroom 5 is located on the first floor. All rooms are handicapped accessible. The are two steps to get into the house, but ramp access is available thorough the garage if needed. Guests can relax and play in the gathering room which has a fireplace and kitchen/bar area or the game room/library with ping pong and pool tables. Guests can eat in the dining room or in the gathering room, play the piano or read in front room. They can grill out on the patio or relax around the firepit (both are LPgas. Relax on,a porch rocking chair or on the dock on the pond. Guest laundry is available upon request. During your stay Paula lives in a separte part ofthe house but does not intrude in guests' privacy, space, or activities. She is usually avialable on site or by phone. Two cats live in the home but are not allowed in guest areas. Other things to note A guest once said, “Buckman's Guesthouse is in the middle of everywhere!" Our guests frequently come from the surrounding Midwest states and beyond for family get-togethers and celebrations. The home is located on County Rd X37, running between G62 on the north and Hwy 78 on the south. It is located about 25 miles north of Burlington; about 25 miles northeast of Mt Pleasant; about 25 miles southeast of Washington, 25 miles southwest of Muscatine; and 50 miles south of Iowa City. Small towns Wapello, Morning Sun, Columbus Junction, Mediapolis and Yarmouth are located within 6-12 miles. Look for the silo with the Iowa Hawkeye.
