Description

Welcome to Antheia House, a European-inspired 1886 home designed for a mindful and sustainable stay. Quirky and cozy. Nestled on a hillside, it offers a front porch, back patio, fenced yard and stunning views of Dubuque and the Mississippi River bluffs. A short walk to downtown attractions and a quick drive to Galena. Note** 15 steps to enter home. Yard features native plants (not manicured) to support pollinators. Patio is in rustic/ongoing maintenance phase. The space Downstairs, you'll find a spacious kitchen and dining area fully equipped for cooking and gathering, a cozy living room, a half bath, and a laundry room with a washer, dryer, and drying rack. An additional room offers two dog kennels for furry companions. The inviting front porch features a swing and seating, while the back deck—accessible through two patio doors—leads to a fully fenced-in yard with a firepit and scenic views. Upstairs the home includes a serene king bedroom, a charming full bedroom, and a full bath. Guest access Guests have full access to the home, except for one locked upstairs bedroom. The entire space, including the kitchen, living areas, laundry, and outdoor spaces, is available for your stay. Other things to note Sustainability is a core value here—expect nontoxic cleaning supplies, composting, and thoughtful design choices. The home is pet-friendly, with a fenced yard and provided dog kennels. Please note: both neighbors have dogs, as well. Enjoy a mix of historic charm and modern comforts, from vintage and quirky details to quality amenities. The views from the backyard are truly special—perfect for morning coffee or an evening by the firepit.
