Flo’s Cabin is one of two short-term rentals on the property, offering privacy while still being part of a friendly, shared setting. Guests can enjoy 150 feet of private lake frontage, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing while taking in the peaceful lake views. (Please note: swim at your own risk—there is no lifeguard on duty.) Flathead Lake water levels are managed by the Seli'š Ksanka Qlispe' (SKQ) Dam, with the goal of reaching a full pool elevation of 2,893 feet by mid-June each year. Weather patterns and seasonal conditions can affect lake levels, and Energy Keepers Inc. manages dam operations to balance irrigation, recreation, and power generation needs. The lake is typically lowered by about 10 feet during the winter months. Inside, Flo’s Cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay: A small kitchen stocked with essential utensils and cooking equipment A BBQ grill for easy outdoor meals A futon couch in the living area that can sleep up to two additional guests The cabin itself is private, but outdoor spaces are shared with guests staying in the second cabin and with our family, who occasionally stay in on-site RVs. Shared amenities include the lawn, beach access, dock, gazebo, fire pit, and parking area. We provide firewood and hotdog roasting sticks so you can enjoy a cozy evening around the fire. Guests also have access to kayaks, paddleboard, and other water recreation equipment. Use of this equipment at your own risk, and the property owners are not liable for accidents or injuries. Sunrises over Flathead Lake are absolutely stunning—you won’t want to miss them. Flo’s Cabin is located just 15–20 minutes from Polson and Lakeside, offering a peaceful base for both adventure and relaxation. Planning to visit Glacier National Park? Book the second cabin on-site for friends or family while keeping your privacy Your hosts stay in an RV on the property and are happy to provide local tips, assistance, or complete privacy—whatever makes your stay most enjoyable. They are more likely to be on-site during peak season. We also have two friendly dogs on the property—a Pomsky and a Collie. They are well-behaved and social, but we’re happy to keep them away if you prefer. Guest access SmartLock code sent prior to arrival. Other things to note Visit Wildhorse Island via local boat shuttles! Your cabin is private, but the grounds are shared—owners and pets may be around. Friendly hosts on-site to help if needed. Water recreation equipment (Kayaks and paddle boards etc) are available for guest use with the agreement that you use at your own risk.
