Bywater is a walkable neighborhood where we cherish a diverse community of artists, writers, creators and neighbors. Home is only blocks away from neighborhood watering holes and wine venue that feature music Interesting and growing food scene including The Joint (BBQ), Elizabeth's (breakfast, lunch and dinner) among others. The home is located 1/2 block off of public bus line, but better yet, hop on a bike and explore the Marigny, French Quarter, Uptown and City Park with freedom and ease. Blue Bikes are available 1/2 block away near the Alvar Street Library. New Orleans is bike-friendly with designated lanes and relatively flat streets. Cabs are plentiful and inexpensive and Uber has become popular. For those who enjoy a good walk to the French Quarter, take Bartholomew Street up to the river and walk along Crescent City Park and enjoy the river and view as you arrive at the French Quarter. Ubers are plentiful and usually reasonable, except for high demand times like Mardi Gras (Mardi Gras day is nearly impossible to get one), Jazzfest, etc. The Hop On/Hop Off bus is a great way to see the City without having to worry about parking, etc. The home is two-story and features a wide double staircase. Back yard will remain part of the owner's amenities. Please note: we kindly request that you not deep-fry foods in the home, based on a few past experiences. New Orleans has plenty of excellent restaurants that can satisfy your craving for delicious fried foods. Any evidence of heavy grease use will result in an additional $100 cleaning fee.
