Welcome to our lovely apartment, located in the beautiful, quiet Western MA hill-town of Conway. This is our second time as Airbnb hosts, then known as "Goat Meadow Farm". We hosted almost 150 reservations and achieved Superhost status there. We built again and downsized but included this spacious studio apartment with a bedroom alcove. Wooded and quiet yet just 3 miles from the charming tourist town of Shelburne Falls, and not far off RT91 and the cities of Amherst, Northampton and Greenfield. The space You will enter on the walkout level of our home, the same level as your parking and your entry exclusively. We are on the upper level and enter through a side porch. You enter up one step, and turning right is your handsome, well-appointed bathroom with shower,. To the left is a short hallway to the open room with kitchen, small dining table, desk area and a futon and loveseat for TV viewing. To the right, and set into a cozy alcove is your queen-sized bed, side table and closet. From the kitchen you can't see the bed and from the bed you can't see the kitchen. Just right. A second egress is in the sitting area, as well as suitcase racks. There are 4 large windows for light and fresh air as needed. Mini-blinds for your privacy also. Decor is warm and thoughtful, including family art and antiques. Guest access The entire expanded studio is yours. Outside you have use and enjoyment of our small front yard and adjacent woods. Plantings are important to us, and we hope you enjoy them too. Our pet goats, Barnaby and Baxter, are up at our level in their barn and pasture. They love guests, so feel free to visit with them. We are dog-friendly, and ask only that they stay on leashes when they are outside. Other things to note We are all solar but still on the grid, and you will have control of the mini-split for heat and AC. Though we are a rural setting, our Wifi and cell service are excellent. Our water is very drinkable right from the tap. Outside is private with no homes in sight. Beyond the small front yard is a sitting area with firepit for your pleasure. We will provide firewood and kindling. Lastly, we are two retired public school teachers who share many hobbies including house building and renovation, gardening, kayaking and travel to US and Canadian National Parks. We are fortunate to have our married children and two grand-teens very close by in town. This is a tight, caring community for friends to enjoy potlucks together and to lend a hand to a neighbor. Two indoor/outdoor cats, Sophie and Lucas, enjoy their home here as well. The good life.
