Private cabin located in Lanesboro, MA. at the hub of cultural Berkshires, minutes from The Clark Art Institute, Williamstown Theatre and Mass MoCA . Nestled at the base of Mt. Greylock and less than an hour from Barrington Stage, Shakespeare & Co, The Colonial Theatre, Tanglewood, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow, The Theatre Barn, Canyon Ranch, Naumkeag and many others. Located close to Ashuwilticock Rail trail, the Appalachian trail and hiking trails on Mt. Greylock Reservation. Rustic cabin on 23 acres of private secluded land yet only minutes away from grocery and department stores, restaurants, Jimmy Peak Ski Area, Pontoosac lake and boat rental shop and everything else the Berkshires has to offer. Indoor space has cozy gas fireplace, work station with Wifi access, private loft bedroom with king size bed and a separate bathroom. The main floor features two more bedrooms and a second full bathroom. There is a cot available for an additional guest and you are welcome to bring an air mattress. There are Roku TVs in the main living room, the master bedroom and the downstairs full bedroom. The kitchen overlooks dining area so the camp cook can interact with guests while preparing meals. Fully equipped kitchen including Keurig coffee maker, waffle iron, crockpot, combination air fryer, microwave and convection oven, food processor, electric tea kettle, electric blender, Kitchen Aid mixer, pots, pans, baking sheets, pasta roller machine, French fry cutter, utensils and so much more! There are some family board games available for those quiet nights you want to just unplug. Outside space features a deck, an outdoor grill and a firepit. Wood is available upon request. There is also an outdoor propane fire pit. For the grill masters, there is a Weber grill on site with many accessories including a vegetable tray, rotisserie, beer can chicken rack, and a Bakerstone pizza oven for the grill. There is also an outside griddle for those bacon and eggs outdoors mornings before your hike. There is a large bluetooth professional DJ sound speaker that connects to your own media, a Roku TV that would require your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and YouTube logins. There is also a CD player available with a diverse music collection and a DVD player with a selection of family favorites. There is no cable television available. The driveway to the cabin is a dirt driveway and is approximately .4 mile long. The road can get muddy when it rains. Four wheel or AWD is strongly recommended. There is an electric car charging station for your convenience. Smoking is allowed, but outside only. Pets are allowed. WINTER GUESTS During the winter months, the driveway will be plowed if a large snowstorm occurs. The walkway to the front door will be shoveled for your arrival, but any additional shoveling required during your stay will have to be done yourself. The main stairs have heated stair mats to ensure safe entry at all times. To keep everyone safe, we prefer guests do not use the deck during the winter months due to any potential ice buildup that could result in a fall or injury. Some wildlife we have observed from the deck include deer and turkey and occasionally, a pair of owls. Sitting on the deck at night we sometimes hear coyotes and owls off in the distance. This is a peaceful retreat from the busy city and guests that are not intimidated by the outdoors will completely enjoy this welcoming and cozy camping experience. Guests have access to the entire house. Available and accessible for any questions or issues that may arise during stay. My house is located less than 10 miles away. Cabin is located on a moutainside and and located at the base of Mt. Greylock Reservation for hiking the Appalachain trail or biking to Mt. Greylock. Once you get to the property you are isolated from other houses on 23 acres. Beautiful views and outdoor festivals during fall foliage. Quick ride to all of the Berkshires cultural attractions in the surrounding towns of Williamstown, North Adams, Pittsfield, Lenox, Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox and Lee (home of the Lee Outlets). Located close to Bennington, Vermont where you'll find antique shops, Vermont Maple Sugar houses and river tubing and rafting adventures. The Berkshires has a summer full of outdoor entertainment! We do try to leave area attractions and local menus on site but encourage guests to research the Berkshires prior to booking your vacation. Private transportation will be necessary to access this adventure in the woods. Four wheel or AWD drive is recommended as the driveway can get muddy when it rains. Interested winter requests please message me for questions. The driveway is a dirt road. Please refer to pictures or contact me for questions. The cabin is in a rural location and therefore the internet is provided thru a Verizon MiFi jet pack which provides streaming on the Smart TV and email and Zoom access with laptops. For optimal performance it is recommended that guests not connect all devices at once to the MiFi. (E.g. phones, laptops and TV). There is also great cell service.
