Welcome to Blue Star, where Montana’s serenity, adventure, and a touch of Finnish magic await! Experience Finnish design in a Montana setting inside our 900ft² yurt, nestled in the forest & surrounded by wildlife. Enjoy your own gated entrance, a romantic loft with a large stargazing skylight above, full sized spacious kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, private deck, and a unique reading nook. Say hello to our friendly rescue horses, Seely & Scotty, in the fenced horse meadow nearby. The space Our one-of-a-kind unique yurt was built by Finn, who travels back and forth from Finland to Montana, and wanted to capture the essence of both places! This yurt has one king bedroom, plus one queen bed loft with a skylight to watch the big Montana sky & moon. An ample walk-in closet, living room with wood burning stove, open concept kitchen design with brand new appliances and a large pantry, cozy reading nook, and Scandinavian quality touches await. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet with a hand shower (if you’ve been to Finland you might know what this is—kind of a Finnish bidet!— but if not, you can experience it here). We have Starlink WiFi, and a TV with Roku, where you can sign in to your favorite streaming services. After a day of hiking or skiing, don’t forget to ask us about our sauna packages in our traditional Finnish sauna house. The possibilities for rest, relaxation and beautiful yurt living after hikes in the park are endless. Guest access With the rental of the yurt, you’ll access: --One reserved parking spot and private gated entrance to the yurt A private (massive!) backyard deck with recliner --Nearby Seeley and Scotty, our friendly rescue horses with silly personalities (usually lounging in their nearby fenced horse meadow) There's other lodging on-site and the grounds are shared, so we've created a serene haven for everyone. You'll also share access to: --A winding walking trail that weaves through the untamed woods on our property. --Plenty of space to relax, play, and soak up the Montana sunshine, whether it's throwing frisbees, sunbathing, or simply gazing at the endless sky. For additional fees, we offer access to unique and authentic wellness experiences for our guests, including: --Traditional Finnish Saunas: Tucked away on the property’s edge with private back decks overlooking the forest— 5 min walk from the yurt. Sweat out toxins and melt away your worries year-round; our high-end saunas range from 140-200 degrees Fahrenheit. --Outdoor cold plunge tub: Awaken your senses before or after your sauna. --Finnish Peat Therapy Experience: Looking for additional detox support during your stay? Elevate your sauna experience with our ancient Finnish peat ritual, the first of its kind in the United States! Hand-shoveled fresh peat imported from pristine Finnish bogs applied to the skin reduces cellulite and inflammation, boosts collagen, and leaves your skin silky smooth.
