The Guest House at The Russian Olive

Available year-round, we are twenty-five miles north of Missoula, Montana. Overlooking the majestic Jocko Valley, our home sits on the historic Big Knife Ranch homestead at the base of the Rattlesnake Mountains. On twenty-one acres of privately owned land, our property offers rustic Montana beauty, fantastic views, and relaxing serenity. The space The Guest house is attached to the far side of the garage away from the main house, which is rented out separately. The front yard with the fire pit is a shared space. Currently our guest house sleeps up to three people - there is a small private bedroom with a twin bed, and the living room has two futons. We are in the finishing phases of adding a second bedroom which will be ready by January 2025. Once complete, the guest house will accommodate a total of 5 guests - photos to come! The kitchen has a cooktop, microwave, full-size refrigerator with a freezer, and a small countertop convection oven. The bathroom has a single sink and walk-in shower, and the laundry room has full-size washer and dryer. Guest access Local attractions include horseback riding, nature walks, mountain biking, fly-fishing, u-pick organic farms, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, artists workshops, The Arlee Powwow, The Nkwusm-Salish Language Institute and The Garden of 1000 Buddhas.
