The Birdhouse—Sunny Plum Island Home, Pet-Friendly

Welcome to the Birdhouse on Plum Island—a sunny, bright renovated space with tall ceilings, an abundance of windows, and water views throughout. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen, spacious sandy backyard, west facing deck for sunset, and several other amenities allows for the perfect family beach getaway. Located on the same street as Sunset Club, less than a mile from the main beach & Plum Island restaurants, and a short drive to downtown Newburyport. The space With 1,000 square feet of living space, our home features a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials including major appliances and drip coffee maker, a cozy dining nook off the kitchen, living room with smart TV, and 1 bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Three sleeping spaces include 2 bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor and a finished lower level with 2 additional built-in beds: a full and twin, comfortably sleeping 6 people. *The stairs leading down to the finished lower level are quite steep and narrow and not ideal for young children. The laundry, two beds (full/twin) and office space are on the lower level. Clean linens, bath towels, and beach towels are provided for all guests, a washer/dryer, dedicated workspace, outdoor grill, and off-street parking for 2-3 cars (depending on size). We have 1 high powered A/C unit, 3 ceiling fans and 3 portable fans. Pet-friendly for well behaved/fully house trained dogs. $150 pet fee per pet to be collected after booking. 2 dog maximum. Please do not allow pets on furniture. Guest access Plum Island Beach and restaurants are less than a mile drive, bike, or walk. Our home is located on the same street as the Sunset Club! The home is also a short walk to a small neighborhood beach perfect for picnics & watching sunsets. Downtown Newburyport is only a 7-minute drive and includes many excellent restaurants, cute shops, and walks along the Merrimack River boardwalks. On the south of the island, the Parker River Reservation is one of the premier wildlife refuges in the northeast. You will have access to the entire home including parking for 2-3 cars, deck, and backyard. 6 overnight guests is the absolute maximum. Absolutely no parties or loud music. Other things to note If you are bringing a dog, please do not allow your dog on any furniture.
