This Lambertville Grand Dame was built for the mayor in 1867. The home is a magnificent example of Tuscan Revival architecture featuring spacious rooms with luxurious and modern amenities, yet still maintains the sense of style of times gone by. Myriad of details abound, from the gleaming patina of wood floors to the intricate moldings, 15 foot ceilings and grand walnut staircase that winds its way from the main entry hall to the 3rd floor. Guaranteed to delight guests at every turn. The space The brand new retro style kitchen is fully equipped for your stay. The two expansive porches, plus a terraced balcony allow you to enjoy the beautiful views of town or the canal. Play a record, pop in a dvd, stream entertainment on any of the smart TVs, or just enjoy the art in the 3rd floor media room. This 4,000 Sq ft home is the perfect place to explore all that the Lambertville/New Hope area has to offer. Great for a group getaway or extended family stay. You'll be tempted not to leave the property as the home is truly one of a kind. The details: From the moment you pull up, the grandeur and elegance of the home sets the stage for your stay. Ample, coveted parking in the back allows multiple guests the flexibility of bringing a vehicle. Enter through the back screened in porch and be welcomed by a newly built kitchen. Walnut cabinets, retro inspired appliances, loaded with every accoutrement to create a memory-worthy meal. If grilling is more you style, a new Weber grill is available on the side porch. A meditative area complete with a statue of St. Francis (patron Saint of animals) brought back from Italy, takes center stage in the garden. The dining area can comfortably seat 6-8 and leads into a cozy seating area for napping, reading, listening to music or taking in the artwork. This home was once an Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden. We have invited over a dozen local artists to hang their pieces throughout the home which are all for sale. There are over 70 incredible works of art placed throughout the rooms making for a visual delight. Please note that the two bathrooms are located on the 2nd floor. One is an ensuite bathroom and the other is in the hallway shared by the two additional bedrooms. Keep this in mind if stairs are a difficulty. Off the main hallway, you are led into the crown jewel of the house, The Cathedral Room. Not only was this home an art gallery, but it also served as a church in two different eras. You can sit in the former altar area, play a game of chess, relax at the bar, or test your shuffleboard skills on the 12 foot shuffleboard table all while listening to records being played on the vintage Victrola. The winding walnut grand staircase leads you to the bedrooms. LATAM, or the Latin America-inspired room highlights photos and collections from our trips throughout the region. A wrought iron queen sized bed with pillowtop mattress will ensure a restful night's sleep. The new ensuite bathroom with heated tile floors and a rainfall shower head round out the oasis. Watch TV or step out to the balcony and soak in the views. APAC or Asia Pacific is the theme of the next bedroom. The platform bed and unique wall lighting add to the soothing nature of this room. Multiple seating areas, a pull out couch, stereo system (with vinyl records and CDs) and DVDs help you pass a lazy day away. Or, take in the 360 degree views of town and the surrounding area. How many church steeples can you find? The sweeping front porch takes you back to a bygone era. Grab a coffee or a cocktail and enjoy the friendly passers by. Guest access Entire unit at 121 North Union Street including parking, front and side porches, balcony, side yard and monument seating area. If you would like to have more than 6 guests, we accommodate up to 8 people with an additional fee per person, per stay. Also, we will need to approve the intended use of the property (event, party, etc) prior. Reach out to Dina to discuss your plans. Depending upon intended use and the number of people expected on site additional fees may apply. Other things to note - Restaurants in Lambertville, New Hope and Stockton fill quickly. We advise that you make reservations in advance - especially in Spring / Summer. - There is a washer and dryer on-site but not in the unit you’ll be staying in. If you require laundry service, just let us know and we’ll be happy to accommodate you.
