Essex Family Cabin-Close to GNP!

Perfect Location! The Essex Family Cabin is perfectly located off Highway 2 halfway between West and East Glacier and only a mile from the famous Izaak Walton Inn, which is now, LOGE Glacier. The Cabin is equipped with everything you need. This is the first year we are allowing dogs, however dogs are not allowed on trails in Glacier. Pet fee will be applied to your stay. This is also the first year that Glacier doesn’t require vehicle reservations. Easy access will help with all your planning! The space The Essex Family Cabin is within a MILE from: -Izaak Walton Inn, Restaurant and Bar -River access for rafters and kayakers -The South hiking access into Glacier National Park; Walton Ranger Station. Guest access Guests will have access to the fire pit on the property. There will be instructions for extinguishing listed. Forest Service Fire danger will be checked by your host regularly and the fire pit may be off limits if the fire danger is high. Other things to note There is WiFi at the cabin, but there is no cell service beyond that. Most of Glacier National Park is the same. There is a phone at the Inn if needed. Essex provides an unplugged feeling that during these times is much needed and welcomed. Relax and enjoy! NEW for Summer 2026! No more vehicle reservations! Planning will be so much easier and access to all hiking areas will be a little easier. I still advise you to get where you need to go earlier in the day, but no need to enter before 6am because it was difficult to get your vehicle pass. Logan Pass will have a 3 hour parking limit so if you want to hike, you’ll need to take the hiker shuttle.
