In the heart of Niumalu, a rural neighborhood near the Huleia River and Nawiliwili Harbor in Lihue, sits a completely remodeled historic "motel" known as Motel Lili. Thoroughly modernized and renovated to accommodate a single traveler or couple traveling to Kauai on a budget, there are six attached studio apartments on a spacious stream side lot. Hawaii Transient Accommodation Tax TA-202-363-4944-01 The space Each of the 6 attached studios has a comfortable queen bed, ceiling fan, a bathroom with a tiled shower, a closet, and a small kitchenette with a sink, full size refrigerator, toaster & coffee maker. While there are no cooking facilities in the studios, there is a shared BBQ grill located by the stream side common area with a large picnic table, for outdoor dining. Each themed suite features artwork that reflect an aspect of Hawaiian life and culture. This studio is named after Hawaii's State Fish, called the Humuhumunukunukuapua`a. In Hawaiian this means fish with a snout like a pig. This trigger fish is also known to make pig-like grunting noises when it is alarmed. Each clean and comfortable studio includes high-speed WiFi internet service and an outdoor, covered sitting/eating area. There is safe, off-street parking on our fenced property. Coin operated laundry facilities (2 washers/2 dryers, clothesline) are provided and shared by guests.l During your stay We are just a phone call away if you need anything. Our cleaning fee is $85 per stay plus we charge a one time charge of $45 for damage insurance. Total fees per stay $130. Hawaii Excise & Transient Accommodations Taxes of 14.96% have been added to the nightly rate. The rate is for one person, if there are two people there is an additional charge of $30/night.
