See the whales and rainbows from our oceanfront, 5th floor, 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo in Kahana Maui at the Sands of Kahana resort. We are Unit 356. With over 1850 sq ft, this bright unit has a huge living room, dining area, and kitchen with all major appliances. We recently placed new wood floors throughout our unit and a new AC in our unit. We have one of the biggest 3 bedroom condos (1850 sq ft) on the island. Other properties this size are renting for over $800 to $1000 a night. When we visited Maui this past December, the Front Street area of Lahaina was fenced off to the public due to the rebuilding efforts in this area, however, it appears the rest of Maui is open for business much as it was before the August 2023 fires. We found over 25 restaurants within 6 miles of our place that were open. For our grocery needs, the Safeway Market in Lahaina, the Times Supermarket in Honokowai and the Napili Market in Napili were all operating and all three are within 6 miles of our place. Maui golf courses were open and past tourist attractions including luaus, cruises, zipline and snorkeling tours were also operational. Our place is a 5th floor corner unit with 2 lanais. There is an elevator in our building and there are 2 stairwells if you like that. Once you arrive, you and your big family or group of friends are going to love our place! We have one of the biggest 3 bedroom condos on the island of Maui so there will be plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We are not one of those 2 or 3 bedroom condos all over Maui that are just pretty much 2 hotel rooms that are back to back with a small kitchenette. With over 1850 square feet, this bright, breezy, and scenic unit has a huge living room, dining area, and kitchen with all major appliances and plenty of closet storage space. We recently placed new wood floors throughout our unit. In addition, we put in a brand new air conditioning system. We now have air conditioning to all rooms in our unit. We are one of the few 3 bedroom units at the Sands of Kahana that has air conditioning in their unit. Below is a quick description of our place: The Master Bedroom Suite is right on the ocean and it includes: - king size bed - TV - two sink bath vanity - shower and sunken tub with ocean view - - large walk-in closet that includes beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and beach toys for the little ones - -the main lanai with gorgeous ocean view. The table on this lanai is big enough for 8 people to sit. Our guests love to sit here and enough the views of the ocean along with the islands of Lanai and Molokai while enjoying their meals -- in the evenings, you can hear the waves quietly crashing on the shore from your bed The 2nd second bedroom is so large it has: - king size bed - queen size bed - TV - lanai with mountain, garden, and ocean views. The 2nd bathroom has a separate sink vanity area and spacious shower area. The 3rd bedroom has two extra long twin beds. This room has mountain and garden views. It also has a TV. The 2 beds can be made into a king bed for a one time fee of $75 that our property manager charges us to have their maids make the bed change. Just us know so we can arrange it with our on site property manager. In our living room, we have two sofa beds with queen size mattresses. Two other chairs and a TV. The dining room has a glass table with room for 6 people comfortably. Our place is fully outfitted with beach towels, linens, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning products. The bathrooms have hair dryers, bath towels and toiletries such as soap and shampoos. The kitchen has the typical appliances of a refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, oven, stove top and over the stove microwave. The smaller appliances in our kitchen are a coffee maker, a Keurig machine, a toaster, a blender and a crock pot. There are plenty of pots and pans, plates and glasses, serving dishes and kitchen utensils and a spice rack for making your meals and entertaining your group. When you come to Maui you should spend some of your time outside in the beautiful weather and green tropics. As such, all of our guests have access to the great amenities that the Sands of Kahana has to offer. First and foremost is the fine sand beach where the warm water and small waves provide a great place for the adults to swim or float or where the small children can play in the ocean water all day. There are chaise lounges down on the beach so you can enjoy the warm sun and ocean smell and keep an eye on the little ones if you would like. When you get tired of the beach, walk away from the ocean about 100 feet and you can go into the Sands of Kahan oceanfront pool and warm water jacuzzi tub. There are also plenty of chaise lounge chairs around the pool to lay out in the sun or just relax around this area. Right behind the pool and jacuzzi is the Sands of Kahana oceanfront restaurant. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The menu has many family favorites at reasonable prices. It also has a daily happy hour from 2 to 5 PM. Many people like to come to this restaurant to catch a beautiful sunset from the restaurant. Behind the restaurant is the smaller children's pool where the water is about 1 foot deep with chaise lounges around the pool for the parents can watch their children. Other amenities at the Sands of Kahana that our guests can use include fitness centers, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts and a putting green. You can check out equipment at the front desk for your use. Also, on site, you can rent paddle boats, kayaks or surfboards. From our lanai, you will see the beautiful sunsets and rainbows. In October and November you will start to see the first sightings of North Pacific humpback Whales. These humpbacks travel from the cold Alaskan waters to the warm, subtropical climate of Hawaiian oceans for three main reasons; to breed, to birth, and to raise their young calves in safety with no predators. They typically stay in Maui until the April / May timeframe. You may also see turtles coming up on the beach right below our place. We look forward to working with you and your family and/or friends to help create unforgettable memories of Maui. You can access the whole unit. This is a private condominium so you will not be sharing the condominium with anyone else. You will pick up your unit keys at the Sands of Kahana lobby which is open 24 hours. I am always available via email, text or phone but I do have a property management company located across the street from the Sands of Kahana that will assist you 7 days a week if you have any issues while you are there. It is a mix of hotels, residential homes along with businesses including markets and restaurants. The best way to get around Maui would be via car. It is recommended to rent a car at the airport to use while you are on Maui. There is plenty of free parking in the garage on the floor of our building at the Sands of Kahana.
