Caterwaul Cabin: A Cozy Retreat This main cabin is a cozy sanctuary with an efficiently equipped kitchen featuring a propane stove/oven, coffee maker, and all necessary cooking essentials. Enjoy intimate meals or fun game nights in the quaint breakfast nook, and unwind in the living space outfitted with a dual-twin daybed (please bring your own sheets). Outside on the porch, a mini fridge and a large Yeti cooler are provided for all your cooling needs. The cabin also includes a full bathroom with a stand-up shower and an on-demand hot water heater. Newly updated for 2024, the bedroom now boasts a single comfortable queen bed (interior photos coming soon). Helter Shelter: Intimate and Immersive New for the 2024 season, Helter Shelter is a minimalist 200 sq. ft cabin with a full-size loft bed, perched privately in the woods with river views. It’s just a minute’s walk from Caterwaul Cabin, providing easy access to kitchen and bathroom facilities. The cabin is outfitted with a full loft bed with floor space for those bringing their own sleeping bags or cots, and for the more adventurous, there’s always the option to pitch a tent under the stars. Outdoor Living at Its Best Our expansive outdoor area is designed for relaxation and entertainment. Spend your days and evenings at the large fire pit (firewood included) with a cooking grill, relax in the hammock, dine at the picnic table, or engage in various yard games. An outdoor sink and shower are available to enhance your outdoor living experience. Accessible Wilderness Located down a 1.5-mile maintained dirt road, the cabins are accessible by most vehicles from April through October. Despite being close to the road for convenient parking and unloading, traffic is minimal, ensuring peace and privacy. Prepare for a True Nature Experience Please be prepared for a genuine rustic and remote cabin experience. While we strive to maintain a critter-free environment, nature can be unpredictable with occasional visits from wildlife. Also, depending on the season/conditions, be ready for mosquitoes or black flies. If arriving at night, you will be arriving in complete darkness, please keep your flashlight handy. Connectivity in Seclusion Though off-grid and powered 100% by solar energy, reliable high-speed internet is available for those who need to stay connected or work remotely during their stay.
