Designed to be your happy getaway. Your family/group will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located Dubuque home nestled atop a bluff (right above downtown) in The West 11th Historic Neighborhood. Enjoy the all-day-sun in the three seasons porch. A nice view showcases the bluffs, a peekaboo view of downtown, and a sighting of the Mississippi River. This 150 yr old home was renovated in 2023. Your host has been having fun preparing for your stay! The space Expect to find some some old character and quirks as well as many new things and comforts in this home that was built in the late 1800’s. It’s been updated with groups of friends and families in mind. The entry room has a place to drop your shoes and keys plus a nice big desk to serve as an office. Also on the first floor is a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and half bath. Take the peculiarly small staircase to the second floor and you’ll find the 3 bedrooms (each with a queen bed) and a spacious full bathroom. The large enclosed porch is a great place to hang out during three seasons. It has a wonderful view and takes in sunshine all day long. There is a small front yard and a small back yard. The back yard is great for playing a game of bean bag toss. Your dog is welcome if they are well behaved and potty trained. An additional $36 cleaning fee comes along with bringing your pup(s). Two dog maximum. There is free parking out front on the quiet street. The basement is unfinished, you are welcome to use the washer and dryer down there if you’d like. The house is walkable from downtown via the 11th Street Stairs. Let me know if you have any questions, Your host, Meg Guest access You’ll have the place to yourselves. You’ll have access to the entire property: house and yard. As the basement was not designed as a guest space, I ask that you only use it if you/while you are using the washer and dryer. Other things to note Stairs are required to get to all 3 bedrooms and full bathroom. The staircase is steep and narrow compared to modern homes. Consider all members of your group’s ability to use the stairs.
