However, please note that areas such as the shed, attic, basement, supply closets, and the innkeeper's apartment are restricted and will remain locked for safety reasons. Kindly refrain from entering these areas without prior permission, as they are secured for your protection. Other things to note Kindly be aware that this historic house requires heightened responsibility, especially with young children. Exercise caution around steep stairs, heating elements, and potential hazards associated with its age. The house features beautiful artwork, clocks, glassware, lighting fixtures, activities, furniture, and a historic piano, grandfather clock, spa, and damage to these items or other items or excessive cleaning may result in an addition fee request or damage claim. A glimpse into the house's history: In the 1800s, it served as a boarding house for factory and farm workers until 1904 when it officially became the Hancock Inn, accommodating guests. The Inn operated until approximately 2008, later also hosting a restaurant. After being used as a multifamily home, we acquired it in 2021, transforming it back into an inn-style Airbnb. With its rich historical value, we've curated modern amenities while preserving its old-world charm.
