Manomet Boathouse Station #31

The Boathouse was a part of the Manomet Coast Guard Station on Manomet Point. When the station was decommissioned and eventually dismantled, the Boathouse was moved and attached to our home as a separate space. Guests will have full and private access to this beautiful and spacious 1,800 square foot home with 11 foot vaulted ceilings and antique southern exposure windows. The open first floor has a living room, kitchen, pool table and bathroom. A spiral staircase leads to the bedroom. The space The property is a .2 mile/ 5 minute walk to Manomet Beach looking over Cape Cod Bay and the Manomet Bluffs. This private beach is accessed by a gradual path leading to stairs. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare and serve meals including a lobster pot. Locally made soap, locally made garlic salts, and locally roasted coffee are supplied. Guests are welcome to gather fresh herbs and veggies from the garden. The hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor shower are shared spaces at the back of our attached properties. While the space is heated, winter can be chilly in an antique home. Extra blankets, fleece sheets and an electric fireplace in the living room help ward off winter’s chill. Hiking, birding and seal viewing are excellent winter opportunities here. There is a small deck off the downstairs with a small grill and a larger deck off the bedroom upstairs overlooking the gardens and bird feeding station. Guest access Guests will have full and private access to the Boathouse. Other things to note Manomet offers perfect hiking conditions year round with many local trails and active hiking groups. We regularly have a pod of endangered right whales late winter or early spring, lots of seals and many opportunities for viewing migrating birds both spring and fall. Manomet Inc is a world renowned bird banding site that is minutes away. Mass Audubon’s Tidmarsh is also minutes away. Manomet is a lovely seaside village of Plymouth…I have lived here over 30 years and I just love being able to share my home and town with guests, friends and family.
