Keep in mind, this room is not accessible to those with limited mobility. The space Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, the Degas House stands as the only remaining home and studio of the renowned French Impressionist Edgar Degas that is open to the public. This beautifully restored residence offers a glimpse into the artist’s life during his time in Louisiana, where he created 18 paintings, 4 drawings, and 5 letters. Steeped in history, the Degas House is more than just a museum—it is a bed and breakfast, event venue, and cultural landmark. Guests can explore its elegant parlors, charming courtyard, and grand architecture, all while experiencing the ambiance that once inspired Degas himself.
