Situated in a private setting (last house on ‘no outlet’ street), this quiet retreat offers convenient Cape vacation fun. The 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath home has a spectacular light-filled open plan living room in Mid-century Modern style with a delightful screened porch for outdoor dining. A deck (with grill) overlooks natural woodland. It’s a 5-minute walk to the boat launch and fishing/swimming dock at lovely Meetinghouse Pond for boating adventures throughout Pleasant Bay. Nearby shops rent catboats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards to explore Pleasant Bay. A 5-minute drive brings you to the dramatic Nauset Beach in the Cape Cod National Seashore, with its miles of pristine shoreline. Two beautiful freshwater swimming lakes are also within a 5-minute drive: Crystal Lake and Pilgrim Lake are perfect for a swim or paddle board. Both have a picnic area and sandy beach/shallow swimming area for young children. Also great for freshwater fishing! Kent's Point, a popular and scenic dog-friendly conservation area with easy trails, is a 7-minute drive from the house. The scenic 27-mile long Cape Cod Rail Trail is within a similar short drive close to bike rental shop. Walking dogs on leash allowed. The quaint East Orleans village is a 10-minute walk or short bike ride away with specialty shops for fresh vegetables, baked goods/desserts, and take-out as well as fine dining, a laid-back pub, and the notable local ice cream shop.
