This beachfront cottage was remodeled in 2021 and converted from a 1-bed unit into a spacious, loft studio. The kitchen and bath feature new fixtures, appliances, marble counters, and a farmhouse sink to add extra charm and functionality to the galley-style kitchen. Inquiries welcome. The cottage is part of a 132 unit condo complex. There are 3 cottage buildings on the property and an 8-story building. Each cottage building is a 4-plex building with 2 ground-floor units, and 2 upstairs unit. This cottage is an upstairs unit and has the best views! Currently there is construction going-on in the main building but there is no construction going-on inside this unit.. However, you will see and hear construction noise from the main 8-story building during the week, Monday-Friday, from 9:00 am- 4:00 pm. Some guest reviews for other units in the main building have commented on the construction noise, and the nightly price for your booking has been discounted due to any inconvenience you may experience from the construction noise. You may go directly to Cottage R4 upon arrival. This is a self-check-in process, and you can check-in anytime after 4:00 pm, and departure time is BEFORE 11:00 on your departure date. You share the laundry cabinet with the other 3 cottages units. The laundry cabinet door code is 3796. Currently the pool is closed on weekdays, due to construction on the main building, but the pool is open on weekends and holidays. The BBQ area and a fitness room, both face the beach and they are open for all guests to use. You have one assigned parking stall. There is no guest parking on site, but guests may park on the side of the street in front of the main building. I do not live onsite, but I am available by email, phone, or text if you need anything. We provide basic supplies to get you started, but you will need to buy more, if needed during your stay. Please dispose of trash daily and follow the check-out instructions posted inside the cottage. Thanks. The neighborhood is in a rural tropical setting, about 5 miles south of the Polynesian Cultural Center, and 10 miles south of the Turtle Bay Resort. The Polynesian Cultural Center features a daily evening luau, (closed on Sundays). The Turtle Bay Resort has a 5-star hotel, a spa, 2 championship golf courses, horseback riding stables, and nice hiking trails along the beach on both sides of the hotel. A community 9-hole public golf course is located about 5 miles north and it is a hidden gem with ocean views! Busy Waikiki is an hours drive away, and the Disney Aulani Resort is about an 1.5 hour drive from here. Haleiwa and Waimea, known for being world-famous surfing locations are about a 1/2 hour drive north of the cottage. Many guests return year-after-year because they enjoy the tranquility of this setting and the "secret" beach, where you can often see green sea-turtles sleeping at night on this beach too. This cottage is part of a condo association that is located in a rural area. There aren't other hotels or commercial ventures located nearby, including restaurants and bars. There is a grocery market 2 miles north, and a larger supermarket 5 miles north. Tip: buy groceries before arrival because the prices are lower and the selection is better in the Honolulu area. The most attractive feature at this location is the secluded sandy beach that is safe for swimming and snorkeling, because there aren't any waves, due to a offshore, protective coral reef.
