Electric kettle, of course. Work or eat at the table for 2 with hi-speed wifi. Perfect for short or longer stays. The space Quiet, residential neighborhood close to park, hospital, rail-trail, Smith College, and Downtown Northampton. House built in 1890 has the character of a well-loved dwelling with lovely landscaping to welcome you home. Sunny 2nd floor Guest Room with its own separate heat/AC control (mini splits). Table and chairs for working or looking out the window with ponderous or whimsical thoughts. Dressers for your stuff. Closet (walk-in) can be used as well. Private full bath (w/ tub for relaxing - candles, Dr. Teal's Foaming Bath w/ Epsom and Lavender for your candlelit baths, shampoo, etc.) right outside the bedroom. Guest Room has mini fridge/freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and pods, electric tea kettle and tea bags for sipping cuppas on the front porch or at the large picnic table with umbrella in the front yard. No TV in room, but good internet (streaming). This house has 4-legged creatures but not allowed in the Guest Room; they are kept contained downstairs in the rear of the house except for sleeping in my bedroom with me at night. Sanitation is guaranteed at my home - all bath and bed linens, including bedspread, washed in very hot water prior to your arrival. Bathroom is sanitized prior to your visit, including handles (silly isn't it, but some cleaners forget that we touch the handles more than anything else!!). Guest access Front porch with rocker, love seat bench, and chair. Large table and chairs with umbrella in the front yard. The Guest Room bedroom has its own deadbolt. Guests have sole use of the Private Full Guest Bathroom (tub and shower). During your stay I work at home so am often around for guests' questions. Guests can always text me for issues when I am not at home. I'm happy to help with recommendations for downtown shopping/eating/playing! Other things to note We remove shoes and boots upon entry to home. House slippers are fine. I also provide disposable shoe covers that can be used as house slippers. No smoking please or pets. Quiet at night, please, after 11. This Guest Room and Bath are on the second (2nd) floor with 13 stairs. Not suitable for mobility impaired or children under 12.
