Wall AC unit is in the bedroom, but only really necessary in August/September. Fan in living room/kitchen keeps air flowing. Large lanai is perfect for outdoor dining or just listening to the waves. The property is fenced and gated from the road. The guest house includes a private yard and is surrounded by rainbow eucalyptus and hibiscus to give it even more privacy. The property is located in Pupukea. There is a second house 100 yards down the hill from the cottage on an adjacent lot where a friendly puppy and young kids live. Pupukea is located three minutes drive up the hill from Shark's Cove and Waimea Bay. Car is required to get around. The neighborhood is quiet, dotted with horse farms, citrus groves, and family homes. Pupukea has some of the best hiking and mountain biking on island and is home to the Pu'u o Mahuka Heiau. You can walk five minutes to the entrance of the Pu'u o Mahuka Heiau State Historic Site which is the largest heiau (place of worship) on the island and overlooks iconic Waimea Bay, so you can watch the sunset from 300 feet above the sea on a high bluff. The North Shore of Oahu is home to the world's most famous surf breaks, including Waimea, Pipeline, Rockies, Chuns, Sunset, Haleiwa, and V-land--- all these spots are within a 10 min drive from the cottage.
