Enjoy this comfortable, cozy cottage with a wonderful river view. 15 minutes North of Dubuque, it's private but not isolated. It's an excellent location for reading, relaxing, and bird/nature watching. Drive minutes or take a stroll to seasonal restaurant Dockside and Mud Lake Park, featuring shore/ice fishing, a boat launch, picnic tables & barbecue pits, and a playground. First floor features a combined kitchen, dining, and living room. There's a small dining counter as well as a larger dinner table. The living-room area has two couches and comfortable chairs, a television, reading material, and a great view of the river. First floor also has a half bathroom and a very small bedroom with a twin bed. Second floor has a bedroom with a television and river view, full bathroom, and laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Guests have complete access to the first and second floors. There is a basement that is off-limits, locked for storage. Outside parking only. There is plenty of parking, even if you have a boat trailer. Just please do not block the driveway to the home behind this cottage. Guests may not access the thermostat. The cottage typically stays very comfortable; space heaters, fans, etc. are available if you need it warmer or cooler. There is an outside-only security alarm and camera system. There is a railroad with one or two trains each day/night, about 200 feet away from the cottage. Trains do not routinely blow their horn, and should not disturb most people. Be careful on and around the steps, both the upstairs and downstairs steps. No smoking inside the cottage. No pets. Quiet hours after 10pm. No catching lightening bugs, butterflies, other insects, frogs, wildlife, etc. There are no special cleaning or checkout requirements for guests.
